It had been nearly two weeks since Kurt had been to school; although he had left the hospital only three days after the accident. Kurt wasn't sure what he could say to Dave, if he could manage to speak to him at all.

As Kurt entered the double doors into McKinley High School with Finn by his side, he was flooded with stares and whispers from oncoming students. He felt as though he was going to throw up. How was he supposed to get through an entire day of this?

Finn tugged on Kurt's arm gently, leading him towards the glee room. Kurt shook his head lightly. "Not today Finn, please. I love them, you know I do, but I can't handle it today."

Finn gave him a worried look. "Well, uh, what are you gonna do then Kurt? Want me to, I don't know, hang out with you until class?"

"No, no, i'm okay Finn, I promise. Go see your girlfriend." Kurt began walking away before Finn could respond. He kept walking and walking, not paying attention to where his feet were taking him, until he collided into something heavy and stiff. Without looking up, Kurt knew he had walked into a jock, he just prayed it was Puck or Sam. It wasn't.

"Kurt." That one single work made every hair in Kurt's body rise. His breath stopped and he could swear he was physically hearing his heartbeat. He needed to leave now. Quickly turning, Kurt began to run down the hallway. He ran faster than he ever thought possible. Where was this speed when he played football?

Kurt reached the doors to the boys locker room and flung them open before running inside and collapsing.
