Brooklyn’s POV (at that time):

My stomach felt all giddy and my hands couldn’t stop shaking. Even my football mates noticed it too and they also saw me kiss Taylor. I also mentally cursed them for ruining the moment with her. Now they all surrounded me shouting out comments and gently shoving me around.

"So how’d it go?" They all asked in anticipation. All they needed was a juicy detail to tell in the locker rooms.

"It… is none of your business." I said with a smirk making them all groan and whine. After they all got done teasing me about it they finally left me alone to go dance. Leaving me with, myself? I looked around the gym to spot any signs of where my date went but I couldnt spot her.

I pushed my way out of the dance floor and near the gym entrance, hastily scanning the room in my tippy toes to get a better look. Then, a sigh of relief escaped my lips and I made my way over to the punch table. As I walked over there I saw Taylor laughing hysterically with a cup in her hand that tipped over and spilled everytime she let out a laugh. A couple was also with her laughing along with her and I started to get suspicious.

"Hey Taylor." I greeted while standing next to her. Once she saw me she instantly broke out into a large smile and wrapped an arm around me.

"Hey Brookie I just was wondering where you went off too. I was starting to miss looking at your bum." Taylor said in a low voice while her hand pinch my rear. My eyes widened and a quickly removed her hand from my bum.

Without saying a word I grabbed her wrist and tugged her away from the punch table. Shockingly, she didn’t fight back and gladly trailed along after me, spilling her punch that she had on the ground. I led her outside and around the back of the school gym where I let go of her wrist.

"Mmm I heard that this was the place were everyone shags one another…" Taylor breathed and I knew at an instant why she was acting like this. Her breath smelled strongly of alcohol.

"Taylor what did you have to drink?" I asked with concerned coating my words.

She pouted her plump red lips and lazily wrapped her arms around my neck. “Is that really what you want to talk about?”

"Taylor we need to get you home." I whispered to her. I couldn’t take advantage of her at a time like this. It wasn’t the right thing to do.

Taylor let out a loud groan and pushed me away from her. “Fine, but you are taking me to my place.”

She wasn’t in the right mind when she didn’t see a giant rock infront of her causing her to trip and fall.

"Shit." I mumbled and ran towards her. Taylor laid on the pavement face first whimpering and her voice was muffled. Scooping her up off the ground i cradled her in my arms. My teeth clenched shut as I noticed her knees and shin were all scraped up.

Taylor rested her head into my chest and sobbed. “I’m such a bad friend to you.”

That caused me to smirk. “So that snog we had was just a friendly one?”

In my arms I felt her body tense up and her sobbing dull down. “My knees hurt.” She quickly changed the subject. Sighing, I started walking towards the front of the school to look for a cab. To my surprise there was one waiting right across the street.

"We are going to my house right?" Taylor yawned. I smiled down at her and nodded my head.

I snuck into Taylor’s house with her in my arms, dozing off between being awake and being asleep. When I opened her front door with my foot I found the house completely dark and quiet. Her parents must not be home, I thought to myself.

Flicking the lights on with my elbow, Taylor began to fall into a deep slumber. She stirred quietly in my arms as I carried her up the stairs. Step after step my heart fluttered dully. Looking down at Taylor sleeping in my arms made my heart sore with how beautiful she looked. The way her lips puffed out small puffs of air and how her chest rises ever so slowly when she inhales silently. Her brown hair now in tangles around her shoulders and face that had smudged lipstick on.

Carefully, I layed Taylor down on her bed without waking her. Tucking her under the covers of her bed delicately. I sighed, knowing I would have to leave her now. Just as I was about to exit her room i heard her voice call out to me.

"Brooklyn…" Her voice flowed around the dark silent room like silk.

For some reason I hesitated before returning back to her side. She reached a droopy hand out in my direction as the side of her face was buried into her pillow. Soft cold fingers laced with my warm ones as I knelt down and rested my chin on top of the side of her bed. In the glow of the moonlight seeping in from her curtains I saw her eye open and her lips curl into a smile.

"Brooklyn sleep with me." Taylor mumbled into the pillow. My teeth sunk down into my bottom lip and I nodded my head slowly, not worrying about how much my parents would worry about their son coming home.

I kicked off my shoes and was about to join Taylor under the sheets but she put up a hand in protest.

"Sleeping in a suit must be uncomfortable." She whispered making my eyes roll.

"I could say the same about a dress." I retorted back.

"You’re right." Taylor agreed then ducked under the covers and just like that she poked her head out and threw her dress onto the floor next to her. My eyes rolled once more as a smirk danced across my lips and I started to take off my tux. Tossing my coat, shirt, and pants on top of Taylor’s leaving me only in my boxers and socks.

Taylor smiled as I entered under the sheets with her making me stomach churn. We both lay there, smiling at each other without saying anything. My heart seemed to beat rapidly knowing this was the first time I was in a bed with a girl… Who was only in her undies.

"What are you thinking about?" Taylor asked, breaking the long silence.

"Why I am in bed with a slightly drunken girl who is only in her undies." I chuckled.

"Oh shut up." Her lips pressed against mine and my whole body seemed to melt into a puddle. My hand gently grabbed the back of her neck and my thumb rubbed small circles into her cheek as i deepened the kiss. The few inches of space between our bodies seemed to feel like an invisible barrier. A barrier to protect herself from feelings for me that I was slowly demolishing brick by brick. Our tongues intertwined together in a matter of seconds as we both began to get needy for more of each other. Cold fingertips ran down the front of my chest then stopping at my stomach.

Taylor pulled away from the kiss, pecking me on the lips before turning her body the other way. “I just want to sleep now.” Her soft voice whispered.

I wasn’t going to protest because she had a long night so I simply said okay. My arm wrapped around her frontside and enclosed the space between us by pressing my frontside against her back. Our legs laced together and I placed kisses against her shoulder. My feelings for her were definitely sure now, but I didn’t know how to tell her or if she even felt the same way.

"Brooklyn, I like you a lot." Taylor said suddenly. I paused for a second, only listening to the unsteadiness of her breathing before replying back.

"I like you a lot too Taylor." I did it.

I broke down her barrier.
