I was in our Biotechnology class, listening to Ms. Denver as she discussed the DNA. It was really amazing how something small as a DNA could determine a person’s physical, mental and emotional attributes. What is more interesting is the fact that no two people have exactly the same DNA.

As an activity, she handed each of us a folder.

“Inside those folders is a test...” she began and loud groaned was heard around the room.

“Quiet please. This is no ordinary test. You don’t have to think hard. There is no right or wrong answer,” she went on.

Nice! I’m beginning to like this test.

“This is a Compatibility Test and remember that you can’t skip a number nor leave any questions blank,” Ms. Denver revealed.

A Compatibility Test. Wow.

“No more questions? You may now begin,” she signalled for us.

I immediately open the booklet. I flipped at the last page. There were about 100 questions in this test. Just wow.

I returned to the front page. The first question reads Your favourite color is...

I shaded the last letter. Everybody knows that I love color blue.

The second question is What is your idea of a romantic date?.

The choices are: A) Stroll at the park, B) Candlelight dinner in a fine restaurant, C) Shopping at the mall, D) Watching a Rom-Com Movie at home. I shaded letter D.

The third question is Which of the following characteristics would bother you MOST in a partner?

The choices are: A) Lack of good looks, B) Lack of social skills, C) Conceitedness, D) Unreliable

My choice was D) Unreliable.

As the test went on, I could hear my classmates suppressing a laugh. I couldn’t blame them, some questions and the choices are really funny.

An example would be If you were left in an island with someone, who do you want to be with.

The choices are: A) Edward Cullen, B) Percy Jackson, C) Peeta Mellark, D) Harry Potter.

I face-palmed at the choices. Seriously?!

I wouldn’t tell you my choice. You would probably laugh at my face.

After half an hour, we all submitted our booklets to Ms. Denver. She informed us that she’ll send our results tonight via e-mail.

After Ms. Denver dismissed us, Therese came up to me.
