I know I'm keeping you guys a pretty long while but with a new year and permanent homework, writing and updating chapters are the last thing on my mind.
But since I'm nice, I wanted to give you a preview of what would happen in the next chapter since you've waited long enough.
Alright. Enough of me talking.
Onto the preview!

2 - Close call
The RangeRover was stuck in traffic. It was really a usual thing every time Mary-ann visited her grandparents. Normally she would wait at least and hour on this particular interjunction, so she made it that she got up 2 hours before just in case she got stuck. Which she was. She hit her head on the steering wheel, which warranted a horn causing her to jump in surprise. She was tired but this was the only time she would be able to visit her grandparents.
Slowly but gradually the traffic began to move and she found herself on the move again. Sure enough, she was in the town where her grandparents were born. She switched on the radio, turning it to her favorite channel. TheWeeknd's Tears in the rain. Normally it was unusual for TheWeeknd to have his song on the radio since he swears in nearly everyone but this song was different, it was an emotional song and she was really moved by it.
When Mary-ann turned into the familiar street, she switched the radio off. Lord knows how much her ma hates her listening to 'that type of music.'
She unconsciously rolled her eyes, pulling into their driveway.
It was already filled to the brim with cars but Mary-ann was able to squeeze in. Getting out, she dragged the big shopping bags along with her. When she was at her ma and pas place, she always brought food and presents for the little children.
Her grandma was already standing at the door, waiting for her. Mary-ann dropped her bag of goodies and ran to her ma, wrapping her arms around her big, comfy frame.
Her ma smelled like violets and it was intoxicating. It literally drew her in. She ran back to the middle of the driveway to get the bag she had dropped. Her ma took it from her and slung it over her shoulder. Mary-ann trailed after her, hearing shouting in the distance. She could hear her pa screaming at the television. It was probably football. It was almost always football.
Someone must have scored, well probably Brazil because the while house was screaming and you could hear their cries of joy from here.
Mary-ann looked over to her grandma, who just laughed in tune with the noise, like she was taking it all in stride.
She helped lay the table as her grandma started to talk to her.
"So bambino have you found your love yet? I know how you feel about depending solely on one man."
Mary-ann sighed as her grandma pestered her about her love life. To her it was practically nonexistent.
"Abuela, I haven't even found who I tolerate first. Most men are irritating and like to annoy you.
Her grandma smirked when she heard Mary-ann raise her voice at the end of her heated speech.
"I see. Now tell me, who is the guy who has managed to wiggle his way into your heart," Mary-ann looked up at her grandma, intending to interrupt when she just shot Mary-ann a look that told her to be quiet till she finished.
"And don't tell you haven't thought about him till I asked. He must have done something to change this bambinos ice heart."
Mary-ann smiled to herself, unaware that her grandmas eagle eyes had seen that little smile to herself.
