I woke up in the morning at 7 to be exact, ready for another day ahead of me. Like everyday, I had school. I got up and got dressed, leggings, a long sweatshirt and some very natural, light make up. I brushed out my hair and curled it, just for that extra touch for school. I drove to school in my brand new car that I had gotten for my 16th birthday.

I arrived in no less than 10 minutes because it was so close to the house. I walked in following the rest of the crowd and made my way to my locker. I took out my books and went to my first period class, English. It was one of my favourite classes because of how much I like reading and writing. Not only that but the guy I had a crush on since I came to this new school was in that class with me. He sat diagonally from me but still very close. I had spoken to him a few times before but never had a whole conversation; I was shy and it was one of the first times I felt like this... like in the movies. Butterflies in my stomach even when he wasn't looking at or talking to me. He was just so darn attractive but I couldn't even explain why. It was the weirdest thing. But I finally got him to smile at me in the corridors which, in my mind, was a very big accomplishment. I sat through class as always, speaking up and answering all the questions I could. After 75 minutes the class was over. The day went on as usual and I came home on the bus. I then logged into twitter and scrolled through my feed. Like always I sent Cody Simpson, my favourite singer, a tweet but this time I sent him a picture of my guitar and said how much I love playing his songs. I logged off and got started on my homework. After 4 hours of working long and hard on each subject, I was finally done. I had  supper and as per my normal routine I went to bed.

I woke up to my alarm clock, the same one I've had for a year now; Cody Simpson singing "All Day," the acoustic version. I stretched out my arms and rolled out of bed. I stopped my alarm and checked my messages on my phone. Nothing important, just an update and a few messages Cody posted on twitter last night. A retweet from Alli, an answer or two to some of his fans. And..... Why does his account say, "love it @LunaRose1234?" That's my account! I press on the tweet and scroll through his profile. He answered me! I can't believe it! My smile wouldn't wipe off my face! So I ran out of my room and told my mom what happened. Her smile grew wide and she congratulated me because she knew what a big deal this. But just the same as always, I still headed to school.

It was just like every other day, I got to school, I worked, same old, same old. But instead of having an empty head lost in no real thought, I was thinking of Cody answering me and how happy it made me. When the day was finished I took the drive home and started my homework as soon as I arrived, having been given quite a lot today. When I finished I checked twitter once again. I had gotten a direct message from someone. I open up the little envelope to find a message from Cody! Wow, two in one day! But this time a direct message! It was just a simple, "Hello, really nice guitar you have!" It was short and sweet and definitely made me smile. I went back onto his profile and scrolled down to the message he had answered. Since just yesterday there were already 500 favourites and 300 retweets. I had gotten a bunch of notifications from all of the fans who had retweeted and favourited. It was my own little "15 minutes of fame."  It was a very weird phenomenon but really cool in a way. I answered Cody's DM which he probably wouldn't answer back again, but I did anyway.

I wrote, "Hey Cody, thanks for replying and the DM! Thanks for the complement about my guitar and the smiley face, you made my day!" And I hit send, proud no matter what, that I finally had gotten his attention and not by saying I will, "ball my eyes out, or have my life completed" if he answered like most of the other ones. But just a simple, "Look at my guitar it's blue and I want to play your songs on them." Short, nice, unique and NOT weird! When I finished I logged out and went to bed, awaiting good dreams ahead!
