1 - sky castle

"I think the most difficult part of living here is being ignored by my own parents unless I did good on my quizzes." Yohan complained as he throws a pack of banana milk to Jiyeon.

"Can't relate? I don't have parents." This immediately caused the two to pause, but Jiyeon herself ended up bursting in laughter.

A sigh escaped Yohan's lips as he shook his head. "You really need to stop, I still can't tell whether to laugh along with you or wait till you have one of your emotional scenes again."

Jiyeon sat next to Yohan on the floor and ruffled his hair before hugging him as a sign of reassurance. "It's not like I'd do that again. But eh, parents can be parents sometimes I guess?"

"Speaking of my parents, look!" He shoved his phone right in front of Jiyeon's face causing her to squint at the sudden bright light.

"Wait, huh?"

"They text me to study! Not ask where I've been. They don't worry whether i'm dead or alive. Heck, they'd care because if I was dead, no one would be carrying the family name since I have two sisters, and they don't even put, 'i love you' at the end of their sentences? Not even a good night? Is that too much to ask for as a son?"

"Yohan, I'm sure the-"

"They don't. Because if they did, Jiyeon, I wouldn't be up on my stupid roof top venting to you. I should be inside my house living the life and bonding with my family. But where am I again?"

The two remained completely glum after Yohan's heartfelt rant and just sat together staring at the stars. The rooftop was their hideout, especially for the rest of the kids residing at Sky Castle, except for Jiyeon.

There were furnitures, refrigerators, and snacks ready for them to go to whenever they were stressing on life, but unfortunately only Jiyeon and Yohan just go there now.

"Do you think Wooseok's parents would stop being hard on him, too?" Yohan asked.

Jiyeon could only keep her gaze straightforward. She felt a bit too frightened by that name. "Wooseok?," she tears up for a bit, "I don't know, Yohan..."
