Chapter 6

When we got home I invited Jack and Jo inside but they sadly declined, apparently the Alpha had called a pack meeting and as my parents were high in the pack ranks they were obligated to go, as was their family. I accepted this and thanked them for the journey.

As I watched them leave the journey I thought to myself, Could I ever have a better family again? As my Mate is an Alpha will he reject me? I shook all these thoughts out of my head. I just wanted to sleep at the moment. I headed into my room and walked into the bathroom, I quickly washed my face and smothered it in water. That woke me up a little, but in the back of my head I felt my wolf getting uncomfertable.

I slowly walked into the garden and made sure no one was looking, and then I ran to the forest - still in human form - and I stripped down to my pants and bra then shifted just as I passed the tree line. I felt free as my wolf and I suddenly felt a huge weight of feeling get lifted of my shoulders. I ran through the trees and over low branches. I kept running but after a while I felt rather tired so I turned around.

I got back to my house safely and quickly. After passing the tree line I shifted and ran for the porch - which is where I always have a small load of clothes in case I went for a run - and after I was fully clothed I went inside and as soon as my head hit the pillow I immediately fell asleep.

Ugh! Not again... That means I have to buy another clock! I already destroyed the one I bought a week ago yesterday. Another trip to IKEA it is then. I slowly lifted my tired body of my bed and I almost collapsed after getting up. Ok, that may be a huge over reaction but what can I say... I'm not a morning person.

I carry myself over to the bathroom and brush through my hair multiple times before I am definite it's perfect. I get my makeup bag and put some mascara on and then a little eye shadow; a light purple. I actually admit, I look quite nice. I mentally roll my eyes and go into my room to pick an outfit. I went into my wardrobe and pick out a black skirt that goes to mid thigh and a blue shirt. I tucked the shirt into the skirt and put on some black heels. I left my hair down and walked down the steps.

As I got to the bottom step I noticed my brothers car in front of my house with him and Jo inside. When he noticed me he must of sensed my confusion. "I wanted to give my baby sister a lift!" He said laughing at me. I laughed back and as I got in the back of the car I smiled at Jo, and she returned that smile.

After a nice chat with Jo and Jack I found out I had every lesson with Jo, as she wasn't a shifter, like me. Jo said that at lunch she would introduce me to their group. When we got to school I ran to my locker then remembered I wasn't meant to be very fast as I wasn't a shifter so I slowed down a little. Once I got my books me and Jo walked to our first lesson:

I know right? What a name, at forts I thought it said Chuckleton, but hey I don't think of the names. Hehe. I walked into the lesson followed by Jo and she dragged me to an empty seat next to hers. We started talking and I forgot we were in school until the bell rang. The teacher came in and started the lesson. I zoned out when he started talking about the Moon Goddess, I only came back to life when the teacher said my name: "Lizzy, would you please tell me why we were created" I managed to hide my laugh, I had learnt this when I was two years old. "We were created by the Moon Goddess so we could guard the human race from all other evil supernatural creatures sir." I smirked as he obviously only asked me to make sure I was listening.

He seemed gobsmacked that I knew so much, usually Rogues got no education: I grimaced at this thought. I went back into my own world as soon as the teacher started talking again. I think I fell asleep because I woke up with a jolt as I heard:

Dammit, you can't throw this bell at the wall. Ugh. I mentally laughed at my random thoughts. I grabbed all my books and me and Jo ran out of the room to avoid the hallway rush. I ran to my locker and threw my stuff in then I walked over to Jo's locker. We met up and walked outside as we both had free period due to all teachers being needed for Shifter classes.

We walked over to the field to glance at Stacy eating a guys face of - by that I mean, snogging as if her life depended on it - it probably did. I couldn't even help the laugh that came out of my mouth. Haha!
