" Chloe' get up! You're going to be late for school. " My mother yelled at the top of her lungs. I huffed. " I'm UP, I'm Up! " I yelled back. I was not looking forward to going to school today. Ugh, just the thought of that school made my skin crawl.
Well I'm 16 and a junior in high school. I'm a middle child but my parents spoil me like I'm their only. Although they're not together. I wonder what life would be like if they were, not saying life is bad.
I rolled over in my bed, and got my phone off of my night stand. Yes the first thing I do when I wake up is check my phone. I had 3 unread messages and 2 missed FaceTime calls. One from my bff, Kylie and the other from my older sister, Jade who was away at college. 2 messages from her and the other from Kylie . The messages from Jade read:
Big Sissy: Girl I know you see me facetiming you .
Big Sissy: Just tell my mama I'm coming to visit this weekend.
I then replied: I was sleep, && ohkay.
I don't understand why she couldn't just tell my mama that herself , but I just left it alone. The message from Kylie read:
Bff: Come to Subway w/ me tomorrow before school. I replied: Ohkay.
I finally got out of bed and made my way to my closet. I had no idea what I was going to wear today. I have so many clothes but I never have anything to wear. I decided on a white RL Polo collared shirt with a black horse logo on it, tan skinny jeans and my black Polo rain boots with white horse logos. I layed my clothes on the bed and went to the bathroom in my room to take a shower.
When I was done showering I brushed my teeth and headed back to my room to get dressed after ironing my clothes. After, I returned to the bathroom to do my hair. I was just going to flat iron it. I had a sew in that I had just got 2 days before and my head was still killing me.
I went in my little sister's room to wake her up for school. She is 7 years old. " Lauren get up! " I said as I shook her trying to wake her up. " If you don't get up I'm not walking you to school! " I said. She sat up rubbing her eyes. " And don't take all day. " I said waking out the room not giving her a chance to respond.
I went in my room and sat down on my bed. I could hear the water now running. I grinned to myself because I knew she would get done in no time so I wouldn't leave her.
When she was finished getting fully dressed I grabbed my rain jacket , umbrella and bookbag. It would for sure be raining today.
Before we left the house I told my mom we were leaving , she wished us a good day at school and she gave Lauren a kiss.
We left the house and we headed to her school. Lauren didn't even talk to me as we were walking. What was her problem?
" What's wrong kiddo? " I asked while continuing to walk. She looked at me for a few seconds then began to talk. " I'm tired of walking to school, everyday. " She said with exhaustion written all over her face. I had to gather all my thoughts before responding to her, because she was about to hear some curse words.
" Lauren, really? Don't you think I'm tired of walking you and myself to school? Does it look like I have a car? If I did we wouldn't be walking. You Should've asked my mama the one with a car, shit. " I snapped. This Lil girl had some nerve knowing I don't got a car. And she knows my mama can't take us because she has to go to work which is somewhere far and takes about an hour to get there. I can't wait till I get my car which I don't have yet because I never pass my test , but she was acting like 2 blocks is gonna kill her. While I have to walk half a mile.
