I'm coming back

Chapter 2

Poppy POV:

...

I rushed into the classroom making sure that the teacher was distracted as I slid into my seat and just watched the clock waiting until the bell rang for lunch. But knowing how luck is on my side my English teacher, Mrs. Brooke looked at me and said "Its nice of you to join us, Ms. Poppy. Care to explain why you are late?"

"I... uh... got caught up in the... bathroom," I said while cringing internally. I could hear the snickers from the rest of the class and I knew that I would never live this down, ever.

My answer must have shocked Mrs. Brooke, cause she just replied with "oh okay, don't let it happen again". I guess there was nothing else for her to say honestly.

English droned on until the bell finally rang.

RIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG

I was out of my seat and out the door. I needed to find Crystal and Ivy as fast as possible. Where would they be? Maybe the courtyard? I checked and they were there, I ran up to them and quietly yelled "guyssomethingreallybighappenedandidon'treallyknowwhattodopleasehelpme". they both looked me dead in the eye and said "what?"

I tried again "guys something really big happened and I don't know what to do. Please help me?"

"Oh" Ivy answered, "what happened?"

"Well, I think that something might go down with Sage and me..."

"What" Crystal added, "what did he do to you?"

"He just pushed me up against the lockers and said basically that I was his new mission..." I explained.

"What!?" Ivy and Crystal said at the same time

"Oh, that's rough..." Crystal said sadly

"What am I to do? I mean I can't stay home until this blows over because Sage never finishes until he takes them..." I pointed out.

"True but you are also much stronger than any of this" Ivy insisted.

"And we will be with you all the way, we promise" Crystal vowed.

There was no way that I was gonna let my friends get in the middle of this problem... what if Axel and Xander took them too? I would never forgive myself if that happened. I knew that I would be okay, so bravely I said,

"Thanks, guys but I think that I want to do this all on my own." 

"Oh okay if that's what you want..." Ivy faltered.

I could tell that this broke their hearts but they would just have to trust me, that everything was going to be okay.

"thank you guys for understanding" I smiled and walked away

As I walked away I was wondering what was going to happen to me...

Once lunch ended I headed to my next class, which was science, and thankfully I knew someone in this class, Jake. He was a 6-foot jock with brown hair and blue eyes, he was perfect. Man I had the biggest crush on him and but he only saw me like a little sister, but he was nice to me and not a jerk like most jocks.

"Hey, Pops! Whassup?" He exclaimed.

"Nothing much Jakey" I replied with a smile.

We did our handshake and finished off with a side hug. Man, I love Jake, he is everything I have wanted and more.

Mr. Ryan came into the room and told the class to sit down and that we needed to turn to page 177 of our Biology textbooks. A chorus of grumbles rolled out, but who didn't see that coming? At this point, I was flipping to the right page and laughing at the grumbles, when the door flew open and guess who sauntered in... Sage, you guessed it. 

"Why are you late Sage?" Mr. Ryan asked.

"I was busy, got a problem with that?" Sage retorted, Mr. Ryan shook his head and went back to the lesson. 

This is the biggest problem with Sage taking an interest with me if anything were to happen then no one would do anything. They are too afraid and they firmly believe that if they submit then they won't get hurt. But I think that is stupid, they are adults and it should not be such a hardship to stand up to a 16-year-old boy, but whatever.

 I thought that nothing could get worse that day, but I was wrong...
