I walked through the white hallway. The light almost too bright for my eyes. The strong scent of bleach and disinfectant almost causing me to gag at the almost too clean smell. Goosebumps rose on my arms and the hairs on the back of my neck stood upright. The faint sound of
monitors beeping was all I heard as I continued walking down the hallway, finally stopping infront of her room. An involuntary tear rolled down my cheek and I mustered up whatever courage I had left in me to open the door I stood infront of for what seemed like hours. My breath caught in my throat at the sight of her, my mother laying on the hospital bed with little life left in her. It was evident in her face that she was fighting with all she had in her to keep on living. I stared down at her face and began to sob. I hated to see her like this.
That was the last day I saw her. Later that night the doctor called to inform us that she had .. died. Ever since then nothing was the same.
"XAŃA. GIRL GET THE FUCK UP!" My bestfriend Ian yelled from downstairs. Groaning I turned over and stared at my bland, white ceiling. God, this was going to be another long week.
My name is Xańa and my mom died 4 years ago so I'm basically parent less because my dad .. well let's say that he's a drunk. I have nonexistent siblings so usually I'm always on on my own. Ian is my bestfriend and I usually hang out with him and his girlfriend Amy. At school I don't really fit in, and in 2 more years I won't have to see the fuckers I've had to put with for basically 3 years of my life.
After what seems like 15 minutes I get up and begin to get ready. After taking an 8 minute shower because I'm running late, I pull on a pair of black short cut up jeans, a big grey sweater with the words "I'd Shag Me" on them that covers nearly the entire jeans and black low cut converse. Since my hair is cut just below my ear, I leave it damp and just part it in the front. Running downstairs I grab my bag and keys, pull on my glasses and go outside to see Ian standing waiting for me by my car smoking a cigarette.
