Sapphire knew what she had to do. Run without leaving a trace behind. Disappear out of New York as if she was never here. So that's what she did.
The same evening after she got the big revelation she bolted home that evening. Well as fast as the taxi could go. As soon as she got out the taxi she ran as fast as her six inch heels could manage without breaking. She had no time to stand and reminisce on all the good memories she had at the apartment. Her first apartment, the symbol of her independence, all gone because of her curiosity.
Her apartment's peach homey wall would soon be void of her pictures from over the years. The medium sized apartment decorated with her furniture that she bought with the money from months of hard work at her previous jobs would all be left behind.
The moment of moping was suddenly forgotten when she remembered Flynn's real job. That was enough to send her packing. She started throwing clothes in her suitcase and momentarily stopped to grab her footwear at the bottom of her wardrobe. She wouldn't need everything anyway. She was going to start over fresh and different.
Sapphire's packing was finished in record time. She stood at the doorway at her apartment with her suitcase at her hand. This was it. Goodbye apartment. This is where Sapphire Inswood would be left. In New York. Well after she uses her passport at the airport and the other airport in Alberta.
Her drive to the airport left her pondering with questions that she should've ask herself before she decided to run for her life. How would she get to Alberta? She didn't even have a ticket. Despite these negative thoughts she didn't stop the taxi and accept defeat.
The taxi arrived at the airport. Sapphire stood on the pavement of the curved top building with its glass windows reflecting the evening sun. This was the last goodbye for New York and for the rest of America.
Sapphire walked in the airport and was determined that she would only leave the airport on a plane. That's exactly what happened. She begged until she got the last open seat on the first flight to Alberta.
Sapphire got her boarding pass and made her way on the plane with a big cheeky grin. She found her seat at the back of the plane grinning from ear to ear. Flynn would never find her. Her new look was already vivid in her mind; her long blonde locks will soon be transformed with a fiery red colour bob. Her dark chocolate eyes will be exchanged with deep green contacts. Sapphire had it all planned out, she was even thinking about her new name.
The plane started to lift off the runway. It was then that her anxiety and fear began to dissipate. She was safe now. Her moment of peace began to crumble when she looked at the young beside her and noticed that she had a strong resemblance to her boss and his brother. The same piercing green eyes, the scrutinizing gaze and the same statute. People nowadays look so alike. The similarities in their features were so alike. Sapphire brushed off the young lady and continued to bask in triumph.
A hour later...
The plane ride so far was very enjoyable. She even made friends with the young lady who said her name was Sophia. To Sapphire delight Sophia said she had no brothers and she seemed too nice of a person to be associated with a mafia anyway.“So where in Alberta are you staying”,said Sophia with a gleam of curiosity in her eyes.
Sapphire began to feel a rush of mistrust or probably it was her paranoia that Flynn might have sent this girl to keep an eye on her. This a question she knew she could not elaborate on.
“I don't know yet, probably I'll just crash at a hotel near to the airport”, said Sapphire knowing that she could not go to her parents' house. She could not put them I'm danger.
At that very moment it was announced that the plane was going to land. This was it. The new start.
