Oh the Irony

After hearing that we were at war with Russia VFA-52 was scrambled into the air they were assigned to intercept any airborne threats. The Pilots arrive on station just above the city.
Then the pilots get a formation of Mig-31's on radar.
Suddenly with no warning the Mig-31 fire on the city below. The pilots are cleared to engage.
They immediately fire on the mig 31 but the damage have already been done the city bellow is a burning hell hole with people screaming and running for there lives.
Foxtrot and Avalanche break away to go after the migs while Trigger and Turner stay behind to cover the city incase there are ground troops.
"We cannot let these migs get away!" yelled Foxtrot over the radio.
The two pilots light the afterburners and speed toward the mig at Mach 1.
At this speed the missiles can't get a lock on.
The zoom pass each other at over 1000 miles per hour. They turn into each other with the hornets being able to turn tighter and pull lead on the Mig.
"I got lock, and fire!" Yelled Foxtrot
The mig is destroyed, 1 to go.
"Avalanche do you see the other mig?" said Foxtrot.
"Negative," said Avalanche.
The mig isn't where Avalanche and Foxtrot are. The mig is where Trigger and Turner are.
"Turner do you have a lock." said Trigger.
"Not yet." Said Turner pulling hard on the stick trying to pull lead for a missile shot.
Then Trigger looks down on the ground and sees a unit of ground troops heading towards the city below.
"We got ground troops" said Trigger over the radio.
"Don't worry." said Avalanche along with Foxtrot coming to aid the other pilots.
Foxtrot gets ready to fire a Maverick missile and sees that they are Isis troops.
"Oh great now Isis is involved" said Foxtrot in frustration.
He fires and the enemy is no more.
With the city secured the pilots break off to refuel and deliver a blow to Assad.
