That's it

I'm writing a story about a secondary character. The point of view of the quiet kid in class who gets unwillingly dragged along with their soon-to-be-hero extrovert project partner. All the person wants is to get the project done and get a good grade but noooOOOOoooo the hero wants to try to get killed by dragons and all. The quiet one finds out magic in this crazy dragon-holding elf-home of an alternate world but ends up getting pushed aside by the hero's new elf friends and bonus the quiet kid is a mom friend. On the end, the quiet character is forgotten about in the hero and their fame's eyes, but the reader is still there. And sadly ever after. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's a good idea.
