Luu jolted awake at the sound of a glass breaking, his dads beer bottles. He got up and quickly got ready for school, scared that if he was even a little late, his dad would beat him again. Luu went to his bathroom to brush his teeth and his brown, curly hair. He grabbed his backpack and headed down stairs. His dad sat on the piss stained, green couch. vomit and broken glass was all over the floor. Luu scowled at the disgusting sight. Luu quickly ran out to his bus stop before his dad gave him his morning beating. He was all alone at his bus stop, so he usually stared at the ground, contemplating if he should end it all or not. Once his bus got to him there was usually one seat, but since a new kid came, there were no seats left. Luu had to start sitting on the floor, which was utterly embarrassing. Once the bus got to school Luu ran out to avoid getting trampled, or gaining new bullies. He got to his locker, which was a bottom, as it has been for the first two years of high school. One of his bullies, Jessica, had a locker right above him. She would usually hit Luu right in the face with her locker. Luu miserably walked to his homeroom. He sat down and doodled. Luu doodled his own fantasy world, where he was happy. He even drew himself some friends and a girlfriend, all the things he really wished for. He, of course, knew that his dreams and wishes were impossible. Lunch time came around after two exciting lessons, to Luu, learning and knowledge were his only friends. Besides his sketch book, of course. When lunch came around Luu went to the roof to hide from the bullies, or just avoid them, even if they knew where he was. Usually it worked, however it didn't seem to work today. Four of his bullies, Jessica, Marcus, Jacob, and Miranda. Came to the roof to beat Luu up. Which was strange seeing at they usually leave him alone when he comes to the roof and just gives him an after school beating instead. They kicked, punched, threw his lunch off the roof, and even ripped all his pages out his sketchbook. Jessica, one of the people in the group who smoked, burned all the drawings with her lighter. Luu watched in sadness as all his hopes and dreams burned. A few insults would be thrown at him as well, such as;
"No wonder your mom left!"
"I'm glad we're helping your dad by beating your ass!"
"You should go die, just like your sister!"
"Go jump into mount Mortem!"
Luu just couldn't take it anymore as he ran downstairs to the boys bathroom. He sat there and cried for the rest of lunch. After lunch ended Luu went back to class to learn, hopefully this would cheer him up.
Once school ended completely Luu ran to his locker to avoid the usual after school beating. He ran outside of school hopefully thinking he had gotten away. But, he fell backwards, choking slightly as Marcus grabbed Luu's hood.
Marcus laughed. "Luu, please don't tell me you thought you could get away from us? You're absolutely pathetic." Marcus sneered. Luu looked down as Jessica walked through the door.
"Ah good, you got the stupid little mutt!" Jessica praises her boyfriend with her stupid, annoying voice. Jessica was smoking a cigarette when she came out. Since she was done with it she used Luu as the ash try. Luu quickly stood up and punched Jessica in the jaw. The action startled Marcus so much that he accidentally let go of Luu's hood. "OW! You stupid mutt!" Jessica shrieked. Luu quickly ran away. He just ran anywhere but home. He found his way to a creek that was near his house. He thought about heading to Mount Mortem later that night. He smiled with insanity as tears formed in his eyes. He wanted to at least die with something special to him. After a couple hours, when he knew when his dad would be at the bar he snuck home. Once he entered he saw his dad sitting on the couch, beer bottle in hand. Luu flinched as his eyes went wide.
"The hell is wrong with you child!?! How dare you come home late!" His dad yelled as he stood up. Luu backed up towards the door and put his hand on the door handle. Luu's dad threw the beer bottle at Luu's head. Luu felt his vision get black and blurry as he was knocked out. The last thing he heard was the glass bottle shattering.
A few hours later Luu woke up in a puddle of his own blood, he felt dried blood on his head and glass all over his right side. Luu slowly and painfully stood up as he limped up the stairs. He cleaned himself up and removed all the glass that he could. He took an empty sketch book and placed a picture of him and his family in it. He stayed up doodling in one of his old composition books. He did his homework even though he wasn't going to be at school tomorrow. He was happy as he looked out his window over at Mount Mortem.
