"Our policy always stays as it has been, any rips or tears that are not your fault we will fix free of charge. Come back anytime dear!" I ended the final sale of the day.

It was getting close to 9 at night. Me and Doug have been working nonstop to get all these orders out. I feel really bad because I had to put Mal's wedding dress on hold. But as of tonight we only have to make extra Tourney uni's and Mal's dress. I offered to make Ben a suit be he said it was tradition to always wear the King's Wedding Suit... hopefully he didn't gain too many pounds eating like a beast... when he was a beast.

Other than that tonight has been exhausting. I'm starting to consider moving Evie 4 Hearts out of my castle. It's kinda awkward having people wait in the living room with Dude, managing to hold a normal conversation. I'm not sure about it though, it seems like it was only a few months ago we finally got everything set in place. But no one was expecting the barrier to all come down at once. I even had to recycle ideas, definitely not my proudest moment. But all these new VKs are doing everything they can to fit in, and I really appreciate that. But when everyone wants something "Auradon like" it's hard to come up with new ideas.

I walked back to my room. The hallways were dimly lit. To not waste energy I use candles. Dude is nice enough to talk them off at night for us. I thought living with the boys was going to be weird, but it's not the worst thing. They stay in their hallway and me and Mal have ours. But most of her room is packed up, leaving me in the empty hall.

I flopped onto the bed, not caring at all if i got makeup on my pillow. Besides, my good pillow I always keep at the end of the bed for days like this. It's a pillow from Doug for our 1 year. He hand sewon me a pillow, with our names stitched and a heart in the middle. I almost cried that day. All I did was get him a lousy photo album. Most of the pictures we didn't even take. He really beat me that year.

Knock knock

"Yes..." I muffled.

I heard the door open, no warning at all. I jumped up, thinking I maybe had one more appointment I didn't remember, "Oh I'm so sorry I- oh, hey Doug."

He laughed, "Hey, I'm here for my appointment. It was supposed to be a mini date-o-clock?"

"Oh?"

Doug came next to my bed and set the cracker platter on the nightstand, "My lady, would you cream of the canned cheese or cheese of the cream?" He lifted the silver top, revealing both.

"Oh kind sir!" I played along, "Well this cheese of the cream does sound pretty tasty for a later snack."

"Oh kind lady!" He replied, "I am so glad that I managed to fill your desires and your tummy!" Doug took a seat next to me, half way on the bed. "I hope that the snack isn't too big for the late night."

I shook my head and cupped his cheek with my hand, "Oh of course not Doug, you always know what's best"

"That's because you taught me how to be the best," Doug reached across to the plate and dipped a cracker into the cheese. He smoothly slid it across the top, trying to get as even as a coat he could. With his other hand he gently rubbed my chin up, I still kept my hand on his baby soft cheek. "Open my dear, the magic limo is coming in~"

I slightly chuckled trying to keep still. He gently placed it on my tongue for me to pull and eat up. As I started chewing, Doug stared longley into my eyes and said "You are at 3 chews my dear, make sure you get to 100... I'm counting..."

I leaned forward and basically wheezed. My sudden laugh cause the crushed up cracker to fly out of my mouth into Doug's face. This caused me to ugly snort and hide away from embarrassment.

"No Evie! Come back from the pillow! That was adorable!" Doug wrapped his arms around my petite waist and pulled me into his chest. "Don't hide, you know I don't care about anything like that!"

"MMM!!" I hummed trying to get him away. I felt Doug touch his face, only to touch mine, leaving a slobber of cracker chunk on my cheek. "Ahhh Doug! What was that for?"

He wiped the chunk off my face and flicked it back on the tray. He leaned in and whispered, "For payback I chewed it up in my mouth to get it on your cheek. We're even now."

"Doug!" I yelled. "That's not cool!" I pushed him away and grabbed the napkin next to the forbidden chuck.

He rolled his eyes, "You know I wouldn't do that to you. Nothing went into my mouth." He layed down, pulling me with him.

I rested on top with him, fidgeting with his banes, "What has you so playful tonight?"

He shrugged, "I don't know. Just felt special us getting all caught up. We've been working too hard."

"Too hard?" I questioned. "We could've had those orders done Wednesday."

Doug shook his head, "None of that matters Evie. When it comes down to it, we're all done, and that only leaves us with us. So let's enjoy that." He pulled me in closer squeezing me tightly.

He was right. We did work really hard. I never realized how overworked I was until now. I simply embraced him and nuzzled into his neck. "Stay the night?"

He nodded, "Any night."
