Suddenly my tears drip down. I can't tell her. I don't want to tell her. But I can't stop myself from breaking down. "Hwan Woong! Yah! You're crying?!" she hold my shoulders tight.
"Don't look at me!" I crossed my arms infront of my face. I don't want her to see me in such a weak state. " Why? You don't want me too see how vulnerable you are?" she said. I can't make myself to look at her. "Come on Hwan Woong... It doesn't mean that you're weak if you cry" she caress my cheek softly. "It means that you have been strong for too long"she said with the most velvety voice. She wipe away the remaining tears I have.
"Do you want to tell me here or maybe we could spill the tea inside? Maybe grab some sweets?" she asked. I grabbed her hand and pull her. "Let's go in. Let's talk at the balcony" I said while trying to smile at her.
We walk there holding hands. I could see Dahee was a bit blushing holding my hands. We did ask the maids to bring us some pastries because Dahee really love 'em.
"So now spill" she said while stuffing her mouth with the chocolate doughnut. " Okay.....Her name was Yoon Michie. Michie and I were linked by the Red Thread. I sworn to myself she would be the only woman I love after my mom and my baby sister Yeongie" I said that with a sad smile. "Wow you guys must be SWEET!" she said (insert Mark Lee's voice at the sweet) " Sorta.... She got really whipped by me" I chuckles.
"She must be pretty" Hee seems to be anticipating. "She looks....exactly like...YOU" I gaze her. Our eyes locked. She's a bit shocked. "Like me?" she asked for confirmation. "Yes she's just like you. Beautiful, really charming, a smartass, got a good sense of fashion...she was my everything" I said with a painful smile plastered on my face.
"Then what happened?" she place her chin on her palm. " Mama...mama didn't give us her blessing and she cuts the tie off with Alexandrite. You know the one die one scar risk?" I ask her and she nodded. " My sweet Michie died and I was scar for life" I pull unbutton my sleeve and show her my arm. As I thought she's terrified.
"That's why I'm treating you nicely my dear" I hold her jaw and leaned in to kiss her softly. "I can't afford having you dead or hurt.I don't want the scar in my heart start bleeding again.Your brothers will come to stab my with their crystal dagger if anything happens to you" she nod. " Let's celebrate our drifferences okay sweetie?" I help her stand up.
She suddenly pull me into a hug and snuck her face at my neck. Her warm breath can be felt. " I'm sorry for your lost" she said while still hugging me. "Please don't be sad" she's baby-ing me. "I'm fine dear" I said to calm her down.
"Let's lighten up the atmosphere" she pulls me by my hand. "How about a duel?" I tease her. "What the heck? You'll win for sure" She glares me playfully. "We never know okay?" I smiled cheekily.
"How about a pillow fight?" she ask while holding a pillow. "What are you? 5?" she giggles. Suddenly she hits me with the pillow and some feathers float freely in the air. I grab a pillow and run towards her.
"Imma get you Hee!" I shout. We played around until someone suddenly opens the door. "What happened here?" Dongmyeong ask. "Hey man!" I waved playfully at the prince. "What's this? My baby sister's bad influence?" he came and shake hands with me.
"Your royal Iciness, the water festival" he said to Hee. What the heck? Her royal iciness? "Oh shoot I forgot!" she smacks my thighs hard. "This is all your fault you bouncy skull!" she blames me. "what type of wife blames their husband huh?" I said that before she leaves. She suddenly stucked there before walking again. "Dang bro! You make up with her?" Dongmyeong smack the same area Dahee did.
"Ouch! Do you guys have a thing about smacking others thighs?" I shout. He just smirk at me. Geez..... This siblings sure are playful as heck.
