This was requested by Liveonthefireside , you're welcome daughter! Hope it lived up to your expectations kiddo!
You were confused. Johnny had asked you earlier to pack some sandwiches, drinks, and other snacks. But why would you need them at the Smoky Mountains?
You, and the rest of NCT 127 had gone to North Carolina for their tour, and you had desperately wanted to come along. It came with a lot of begging, and you lost a decently sized chunk of your pride, yet you still made it, and that's all that matters.
But back to the matter at hand, you had been forced by your boyfriend, Johnny Suh, to bring a picnic of food. Somehow, you got lucky enough to not have your bag searched by the guard, but it also might have had something to do with Taeyong charming the security with his...Taeyong Effect. Anyway, the bag was beginning to get a little heavy on your shoulder.
"Is that dragging you down?" Your lovely boyfriend, who was previously clasping your hand, asked and slid the bag off your shoulder, instead holding it in his opposite hand. The two of you were a bit behind the rest of the group, the closest member to you was Mark, who was taking pictures left and right. You looked up at Johnny, who was looking out over the tree canopy. As you followed his gaze, you could see two birds flying around each other playfully. One of them dived, and the other was quick to follow it and disappeared under the trees.
"They're pretty aren't they?" Johnny turned to look at you, and in his eyes were reflected awe and elation. You smiled up at him, and as you did, a breeze flew through the trees. You shivered, your sheer jacket not doing much to keep the cold out. Your yellow sundress wasn't much help either. Johnny's face quickly changed into one of concern.
"Are you cold?" He stopped walking, completely turning to face you. You pursed your lips, tucking your hair behind your ear.
"No I was shaking for the fun of it," you deadpanned. Johnny rolled his eyes but slid off his brown leather jacket, setting the bag of food on the ground. He slid the jacket over your considerably smaller shoulders, causing the ends of it to practically reach your knees. You pulled the clothing closer to your frame, a light blush dusting your cheeks.
"Thanks. Now will you tell me why you asked me to bring food?" You raised your eyebrow. Johnny sighed and looked to the side, before planting a light kiss on your nose. Your lips parted to release a small smile.
"Do you trust me?" He asked as he rested his forehead against yours. You looked up at him, his deep chocolate orbs gazing back at you with love and admiration.
"Will you always answer my question with a question?" You cocked your head to the side. He smirked and pinched your hip. You squeaked and bat his hands away from your body. "Of course I trust you, Johnny. When you're not attacking me."
Johnny nodded and picks the food up, tightly clutched onto your other hand and broke into a sprint, practically dragging you behind him. You let out a light scream as Johnny ran the opposite direction of his band mates, through trees and rocks, and you try your hardest not to fall.
"Johnny Suh what the hell are you doing?!" You cry out. Johnny just laughs and runs even faster. You clutch his jacket and attempt to keep up with his pace. Soon enough, Johnny finally stops running and you take a second to reorient yourself.
"What is your problem?" You huff, crossing your arms over your chest. Johnny looks back at you with the biggest grin on his face.
"Look."
You sigh but walk up next to Johnny, to see a doe with her mother, peacefully grazing together. You let out the smallest gasp, your eyes widening. Johnny set the bag down and fished around in it to pull out a blanket. While you admired the beautiful sight, Johnny set the blanket down and took the food out.
When he finally finishes, he sat down and tugged on the hem of your dress, and, taking the hint, you sat down next to him. He handed you a sandwich and you took it from him, not letting your eyes leave the two beautiful creatures.
Suddenly, you jolted, remembering something. The movement was small, but it was enough to scare the doe and her mother away. The two bound away into the brush, and Johnny sighed.
"Johnny, isn't this illegal?" You look up at his relaxed form next to you. He shrugged and took a bite of his sandwich.
"Maybe. But I wanted to have a picnic and watch the sunset with you. Is that too much to ask?" Your brows furrowed and he pointed, toward the horizon. The sky was cast in beautiful shades of pink and orange, and you mentally kicked yourself for not seeing it sooner.
"Oh, Johnny. It's beautiful," you gasped in amazement, taking in the view of the mountains and forestry. The sight is similar to one from a postcard, and you take a mental snapshot, making sure not to forget this moment.
A butterfly fluttered past you and landed on Johnny's nose. Its wings flapped open and close, and you chuckled at Johnny's confusion.
"What's on my face, (Y/N)?" He asked, looking left and right. You placed your hand next to the butterfly, watching the creature crawl onto it. You retracted your hand to show Johnny.
"I'm surprised you didn't freak out. It's a butterfly, see? It's almost as pretty as Taeil."
Johnny pouted at that, and you smiled as the butterfly flew away. Your eyes dragged back to his pitiful form and you tugged his cheeks.
"I'm kidding. Taeil doesn't have anything on you, my lovely long-limbed lover," you beam. Johnny immediately perked up and went back to eating happily.
The two of you decided to continue eating until the food was gone and placed back in the bag. Your head laid on Johnny's chest as he layed down, his hand carding through your hair as the both of you just enjoyed the sunset.
"Hey Johnny?" You angled your head up to look at your boyfriend. He held his head up to look back at you.
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you more, (Y/N)."
And the two of you just enjoyed each other's company, the forest sounds, and the stolen moment you had together.
Later Taeyong scolded you both like the panicked man he was and explained how he had half of a heart attack. Mark blamed it on Doyoung, and the poor bunny who had absolutely nothing to do with losing the both of you sulked all the way back to the hotel.
