My neck is incredibly sore when I wake up. Looking for my phone I read 7:50 and groan, nuzzling my face in the armrest.

Last night turned out unexpected, but hopefully Zach and Daniel act more civil. I wonder how they're doing, because leaving them unattended I'm sure one of them have a black eye by now.

Getting up while wrapping a blanket around me, I head upstairs. Coming to my bedroom door, I open it gently and reveal the two boys, who are cuddling.

I smile. It looks like they did manage to get along, which makes me happy, but then a bit jealous because I want a Zach cuddle. I contemplate on jumping in between them, but they look so peaceful.

Daniel stirs awake, and he slowly opens his eyes, looking right at me.

I awkwardly give a nod, trying to not appear creepy that I've been staring at them. "Good sleep?"

"Not too bad." He's blushing - and I wonder if he and Zach did something.

Daniel hastily moves out of Zach's arms - the shorter boy unmoving - and stands up. "Want me to help with breakfast?"

"Uh, sure."

I look at Zach who's still in deep sleep, mouth hanging open. Zach looks so cute, and I honestly want to give him a kiss.

My thoughts deliver back to last night, and I remember how we kissed, so desperate and rough. It felt amazing, and he certainly knows some things, but I love him underneath me, a moaning mess...

"Jack? You good?" Daniel stands in front of me, and I snap my gaze to him.

"Right." We quickly go in the kitchen and decide breakfast will be eggs, waffles, and juice.

"Zach's not so bad," Daniel says as I plug in the machine for the waffles. "I can see why you like him."

'Like'? What is he trying to say? I mean... he can't know about me. When have I ever given signs? I mean sure I kissed Zach in the closet, but that doesn't count.

"Ha!" I manage. "No I'm not gay. I like girls... a lot. I think that explains it. Yeah, we're just friends, that's all."

Daniel gives a funny look, opening the fridge and looking for eggs. "Yeah. I meant 'like' as in friends."

"Oh. Yep, we're best friends. Only that."

"And I'm sure best friends make out."

I pour batter in the iron grill, hands shaking a bit. "It was just a game."

"Jack... Zach really is a good guy, and I'd hate it if you don't admit to yourself before your chance is over."

"He doesn't like me like that, okay?" I sigh and place the bag down with a thump. "It's obvious. And besides, he thinks I'm straight."

The older boy bursts out laughing. "Really? I mean, if it isn't obvious with your eyes molesting him and the closest session then you both are blind."

I feel incredibly insulted, but suppose he's right. I should tell Zach.

"To be honest," Daniel says, "he really is amazing."

I frown. "So you like him?"

He begins cracking the eggs into a small bowl. "Yeah. But just as friends."

I can see him smirking despite his back turned. I wonder if he and Zach really did do something, then.
