I just had the weirdest dream.
And now I'm still trying to comprehend it, but there's only wisps left, fading as my memory turns to other events.
Jeez.
I feel my pants tighten, but luckily I didn't have a wet dream. I go to the bathroom, wondering if I should take a cold shower or handle it.
I mean, cumming in your best friend's house on the toilet? Sounds low. There's a bro code about bathrooms, so I respect that.
Turning on the shower, I peel off my clothes and step inside, shuddering when the cold water hits my skin. Eventually I make it warm and my thoughts drift.
My dream had Daniel in it, even though I just met the guy, and he was kissing Jack. The weird thing is I was turned on by the sight, despite my feelings now that I'm awake.
I'm worried that my dreams are prophetic or something. But that's crazy, because Jack is straight... or maybe he's not, and needs the right guy to come along.
But, Daniel and Jack? That can't happen.
After I'm done I step out, realizing that there's no towel. Honestly I'm so absentminded and I sigh, before using my t-shirt as some form of it.
After putting back on boxers and skinny jeans I grimace, wishing I had sweatpants instead, and go back to Jack's bedroom. Rifling through the closet I find a plain black long-sleeved shirt and tug it on.
Jack usually buys loose clothing, and so it's generally oversized on both of us. I feel secure in this, and it even smells like him.
"Hey, Zach?" Jack comes into the room, and I look up sheepishly. "Are you wearing my shirt?"
"Yeah, but look, I had a shower and there was no towel so I used my shirt. And anyways I just wanted to borrow yours - I promise I'll return it!"
He shakes his head, amused. "Okay. Anyway, there's food downstairs that Daniel and I made."
"Oh." I suddenly vision Jack kissing Daniel and there's an aching feeling in my chest. "Daniel's cool, don't you think?"
"Yeah. So what do you think of him?"
"He's really good at comebacks." I roll my eyes, thinking about our fighting. "To be honest it's refreshing, but anyway, I guess I misjudged him. He's really awesome."
"Look, just tell me if you want me to put in a good word or something." Jack watches me carefully.
I furrow my brows in confusion. "Okay? I mean we probably won't argue as much, so you don't need to defend me."
"No I mean, like, nudge him in the right direction. So you guys can be together."
Wait. What? "I don't need any help. It's not like that. Yeah Daniel's cool, but I don't like him that way."
"I wasn't trying to - I mean, sorry."
I lick my lips, moving closer. "Listen Jack, ever since the party, I couldn't stop thinking about... it."
"What do you mean?" His face is impassive, but I can see nervousness in his eyes, making me wonder if I'm overstepping my boundaries. He closes the door and steps into the room and my heart starts pounding.
"I, nevermind."
"Is it about the kiss?" he blurts out.
"Oh, I'm not bothered by that!" I quickly say. "Were you?"
"Nope. It was nothing. We're still best friends."
"Right. Okay. That's great." My throat tightens.
