For the second time in two days, Amethyst did not have the correct professor for her English class.

'Hi class, I'm very sorry about yesterday, I'm pretty sure I mentioned it but I was real hungover. I didn't drink purposely, as I didn't know I'd have to teach a class the day after, I'm not an alcoholic, nor am I a bad professor.' The mint-haired man paused, contemplating whether he needed to disclose any more information. 'I believe I said this yesterday, but to reiterate, I am Mr. Min. I'm not your permanent teacher, I'm only covering my friend's class. His name is Mr. Kim and he is a very nice, very smart guy, who I'm hoping you'll all like.' He finished his statement with a smile that showed small teeth and lots of his top gum. Amethyst's newest friend, Jungkook, tapped her on the shoulder and motioned for her to come closer. She obliged, offering her ear.
'Mr. Min's cute, I wanna put him in my pocket.' Jungkook whispered, 'He's so small, absolutely tiny.'
'Did you mean to use two synonyms there or?'
'Like he's obviously small, he can't be more than 5'9. But tiny means that he pouts when he talks, and he's swamped in that hoodie. He's just tiny?' The boy explained.
'Kookie, are you gay?' Amethyst asked, genuinely interested.
'No I'm actually not, he's just so little that I wanna keep him, you know? Take him home.' He said, bunny smile on his lips.

Mr. Min had decided to all-but call off the class, opting instead to joke around and take questions about himself. 'How would I describe myself in one word? Easy. I'm Min Yoongi, the genius.' The university students laughed, with many more hands shooting up to ask questions.
'Mr. Min! What's your favourite colour?' Someone yelled from the back of the room.
'Black and white, I can't choose between them.'
'What's your favourite song right now?'
'Juicy by Notorious B.I.G. at the moment, what's yours?' He questioned the student.
'Youngblood by 5 Seconds Of Summer, it's an absolute bop!' Said the enthusiastic pupil, who Amethyst recognised as a girl named Sara.
'I have to agree, it is a 'bop',' He made air quotations, 'It's on my Spotify playlist actually.' He said, giving the girl a gummy smile.

Jungkook was right, he really was tiny, and you really felt like you could almost put him in your pocket and take him home. But then again, even in the last two days, Amethyst had realised that Jungkook barely ever got anything wrong. Apparently his friends in Korea call him the Golden Maknae, which meant that even though he's the youngest in their friendship group, he was the best at a lot of things. Jungkook had enlightened Amethyst to the fact that he was a black belt in taekwondo, that he almost debuted in a kpop group but pulled out a few months before the date that was set, and that he's very good at imitating people; which was evidenced the day before, when he had imitated drunk Mr. Min.

'We've done jack shit.' Amethyst said, exasperated.
'That's true, but we had fun doing jack shit.' Jungkook reasoned, throwing his backpack over his right shoulder before picking up a smaller black bag. Amethyst nodded at the statement. She was curious about the small bag.

'What's in the little bag?' She asked, swinging her own backpack onto her shoulder.
'It's a camera, a film camera, a Sony A9.' Amethyst knew Kookie was a double major, she just didn't know what his second major was.
'So you double major in English and Film?' She enquired over her shoulder, leading the way down the small flight of carpeted stairs. They each threw Mr. Min a passing gratitude for today's (not) lesson.
'Yeah, I've always loved making short films.' Amethyst hummed for a few seconds, obviously thinking. 'What, you're not going to ask me to shoot something for you, are you?'
'No of course not. You get people like that?' They exited the glass door.
'Alllllll the time, and then they have the audacity to be offended when I say no.'
'Dude that sucks! I was actually going to mention that I have a friend who's an actress and how I should introduce the two of you sometime.'
'I need more friends, I'm down whenever.'

Amethyst gazed at the large grey buildings on her way to the cafe. The massively imposing structures reminded her just how small she was. Standing at 5'6 she felt a lot smaller than she really was. The cherry trees dotting the campus in seemingly random places provided her some solace, for they were also small, but they were stunningly beautiful. Something Amethyst believed herself not to be. The warmth of the brightest star in the Milky Way beat down comfortingly on her fair skin, wrapping her in a cloak of warmth - one that she wouldn't have to worry about burning under.

The day was over, and Amethyst was very happy to see her best friend again. After her disaster of a food tech period at 10am, her Korean language class at 1, and then her bludge of an English class at 3:30, she was tired. Kiaranna was basically a happy virus to Amethyst, always getting her infected. She was glad to have such a good best friend.

'What's up, loser.' Amethyst greeted her younger friend, scraping a metal chair out from under the table at which Kiaranna was sitting.
'Not much, only that I found your professor's Facebook account.' She said smugly, a smirk on her lips.
'Bet you didn't.' Amethyst muttered under her breath, before saying instead: 'Mmmhmm. Let's see then.' She gestured for the younger to hand her the phone. Amethyst didn't like Facebook, she believed that between Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter, you didn't need a fourth social media. 'You are aware that this account is private, right?'
'Yeah but you can see a face in the profile picture, can't you?' Amethyst stared at the zoomed-in profile picture for a few minutes.
'Yeah nope, I can't see even a face. You know I'm basically blind.' Kiaranna rolled her eyes at the dark-haired girl. 'Seriously, all I can even recognise from that tiny-ass picture is a blue shirt and the outline of a head.'
'Pshh and you're an Arts major? How? The least you could do is put on your glasses.'
'Okay but, what about this... I don't want to stalk my new English professor.' Amethyst paused ammending herself, 'I don't want to stalk my new English professor before I formally meet him.'

'Hey chick, watch the windowsill, I just put some new crystals up there.' Violetta greeted a very worn-out Amethyst with a smile from where she was laid, studying on her bed. The girl dropped her bag onto the floor next to the bed pushed against the wall, her royal blue doona cover looking positively inviting after such a long day.
'Thanks, Vi.' She said, taking her head in her hands.
'Uh-oh. That's sad Amethyst. What's wrong?' The purple-headed girl asked, flipping closed the textbook and sitting up, mirroring Amethyst's position with a look of concern on her features.

'We've had a substitute professor for two days, what if the actual new professor is shit?' Amethyst queried, 'What if he's one of those professors that only care about the paycheck and not about the students actually taking their class? What if- What're you doing?' She cut herself off, watching the other girl curiously as she stood, taking one of the crystals from the windowsill and handing it to the worried girl.
'Blue lace agate, it helps with stress and anxiety. Continue.' She said, sitting back on her bed.

'What if he's not good for me?' Amethyst ventured, however Violetta gave her a curious look. 'Not like that. You know how much I want, need, to be a writer, I need a good professor who knows and is willing to help me become what I need to be to put something new into the world.'
'Amethyst, you haven't even met the guy yet! He might be exactly what you need.'
