jimin opens up the pet store with a huge grin on his face.

taehyung taehyung taehyung was all plastered in his head, making sure that he'll never forget the boy's name.
he can't get his honey laced voice out of his mind or his bright, brilliant smile. it was just so mesmerising.

and there was something in the way he talked to jimin that made him stop in his tracks and listen.

there was just something about the blue haired boy that made him feel warm inside.

jimin makes his way to the counter to carefully place the now empty plastic cup on the shelf.

"are you excited to get adopted today?"

jimin chuckles to himself, "gosh, i'm talking to a dog. no offence, pup. i'm just going insane" he chuckles once again, petting the puppy in the pen.

he then hears the bell on the door chime, indicating that someone was making their way inside.

"hello! give me a moment" jimin stands up and pats down his pants and makes his way to the counter.

"oh, taehyung" jimin replies, trying to be expressionless, when in the inside he was bursting into bubbles.

'well, that wasn't the reaction i expected' the boy laughed. 'seems like you don't want me here'

jimin panics and shakes his head and arms frantically. "n-no! it's not that! please, tell me what i can do for you today" the smaller chuckles nervously, scratching the back of his head.

"oh god, you're so adorable, good lord save me" taehyung laughs.

"i just wanted to stop by and say hello. it's my break time anyway" the taller smiles. "did i catch you at the wrong moment?"

"no! not at all. it's my break time as well, just wanted to feed the kids" jimin chuckles, then blushes, realising what he said "oh god that was stupid"

"not at all, hey, i didn't catch your name" taehyung suddenly says. he scans the boy's uniform hoping to see a name tag when he sees a
JIMIN
sewn onto the right side of his shirt, on top of the pocket.

"jimin... that's a pretty name" he says absentmindedly, making jimin red from his cheeks to his ears.

"t-thank you. aren't you a charmer" jimin covers his face with his hands, receiving another hearty chuckle from the taller.

the boys ended up sitting on the floor during their break time and just chatting the time away.
they learnt each other's hobbies, passion and full names. jimin actually majored in dance while taehyung did in the arts

taehyung also learnt that jimin's world left not long ago, and he pitied the smaller, wishing that he could've done something for him.

however, that wasn't the only pain jimin went through. he doesn't want to open up just yet to taehyung. but taehyung noticed it. he noticed that the boy still had burdens and is still going through a lot of pain for his age.

taehyung just stares at the smaller. the way he pushed his hair back and sighs.
he seems tired... of what?
he ponders and tries to read the boy.

"tae? are you alright" jimin tilts his head. 'so we have nicknames now' taehyung chuckles and pets the smaller's head. jimin smiled at the boy. "yeah, i give nicknames to those i'm comfortable with"

'well isn't that lovely" taehyung smiles.

it was the end of the day and taehyung decided to pick jimin up and send him home.
"hey! jimin!' taehyung calls the boy who was locking the pet store up.

"oh, taehyung! hey!" jimin smiles and walks towards the taller. "i was wondering whether i could walk you home, ya know, so i could talk to you more' the younger scratches the back of his neck.

"i'd love to" jimin replies.
the sun sets, painting hues of lilac and peach colours. the boys walked in comfortable silence, taking in the scent of fresh air.

'so, what's your plan for tomorrow, chim?" taehyung decides to break the silence. "well, nothing really. just a free sunday. maybe other than going to the studio but, that's all" jimin looks up, pondering.

"how does coming over sound?' taehyung flashes his signature boxy smile that still makes jimin's heart flutter. "how am i sure that you aren't gonna murder me?" jimin laughs

"chim, you and i literally shared each other's personal info, also, i have a dog'
"you have a dog?! i'm coming over right now to bring that poor baby home' jimin exclaims.

"yah, you're so loud' taehyung laughs and punches jimin playfully. "alright, alright. i'll come over tomorrow. here, i'll give you my number. just message me your address."

jimin gave the younger his phone number and returned taehyung his phone. "hey, i like that locket you have' taehyung points out the accessory around jimin's neck. "yeah, i gave it to my mom. it's all i have of her, other than her wisdom" the older smiled.

taehyung felt warmth in his heart when he saw the smaller's sad smile.

he abruptly stopped walking, which made jimin stop in his tracks too. "tae? are you alright?" jimin asked, concerned. no words were exchanged as taehyung pulled jimin into his chest, wrapping the boy in his arms. he rest his head on top of jimin's.

"oh you poor angel. i'm sorry' taehyung whispered lowly. "i will always be here' he held jimin tighter.

jimin buried his head into taehyung's chest and wrapped his arms around taehyung's torso. he felt relief wash over. he felt safe and at home, something he never felt in a while.

"thank you, taehyung. i appreciate it"
