Molly's POV
it was officially my first day going to coachella. i was so excited i woke up during the middle of the night about 3 times and ended up just staying awake at 5 in the morning. as i got out from under the blankets on the bed in my room, i was immediately washed over by another blanket of cold air. i went over to the thermostat in the kitchen to check the temperature. 56°. i called out, "FRANCHESCA!" in a few seconds came my roommate and one of my closest friends saying, "whaaat?" "thank you for trying to make me an ice cube, but i would really like to go to coachella this weekend," i responded sarcastically. "oh my god, i'm so sorry i thought that would help since it's going to be like 120° outside today." we both laughed at our stupidity, agreed the thermostat would stay at 70°, and went back to our rooms to get ready.

once i had taken a shower, curled my hair, did my makeup, and gotten dressed in my outfit for the day, i went to the kitchen to make myself a light breakfast. i'm not gonna lie, i was pretty proud of myself for choosing out my outfit which was a pair of yellow and white striped pants with an attached matching belt with a white mesh top, yellow laced bralette, and white doc martens. after my iced coffee was brewed, i added some vanilla almond milk creamer and put the egg whites i had cooked on a plate. while i was eating, i started watching one of my favorite smosh videos, "try not to laugh #19" with olivia, keith, courtney, ian, noah, and my personal favorite, damien. i finished my breakfast right as the video ended and went into franchesca's room to make sure she was ready to go since we had decided to leave at 3:00 and it was 2:55.
i peeked into her room and saw her lying down on her bed watching a video. i knocked on the door and asked, "hey you ready to go? i don't want to miss unknown mortal orchestra or kyle. it's going to take like 30 minutes to get there and it's 2:58 now." she turned to me, turning off her phone and said, "yeah, should we uber or drive ourselves?" "that's up to you, you drove us here," i replied. "ok, uh why don't we just drive? it'll be fun because we can jam out to whatever we want and the uber line in the parking lot there is ALWAYS crazy." "that's so true, let's go!"
we both hopped into her car and turned on our favorite song, ispy by kyle and lil yachty. i played kyle and franchesca played lil yachty in the beginning
m: man, fuck
f: what's wrong kyle?
m: man, these kids man, talkin shit, makin me feel bad
f: man, fuck them kids, bro, look around, bro, look at life
m: man, you're right
f: mmm, you see? you see these fine bitches over here?
m: yeah, woah
f: you see these trees man? you see this water?
m: i guess its ok
f: come on, man, you got so much more to appreciate, man
m: man you know what, you're right
f: you damn right i'm right, i can't remember a time i was god-damn wrong
m: man, thanks, lil boat
f: hey man, that's what i'm here for
then after the intro, we both started screaming out the lyrics to the rest of the song.

finally, after singing for a half hour, we made it to the coachella grounds already aware that our voices were half gone and we would stand no chance of being able to even remotely sing well tonight, tomorrow, or the next day. luckily, we got there early enough to find a decent parking spot and catch a bus to where the main stages were. the first thing on my mind to do was get an iced coffee, but when i got over there the sign said it would be $10 per cup which i knew was a bad investment HOWEVER it was coachella so i bought one for me and franchesca. let's just say we both kind of have a coffee addiction. once our iced coffees were given to us and i paid, we walked over to where first kyle would perform and then one of the bands i often listened to, unknown mortal orchestra. i looked down at my phone which had a schedule of when and where my favorite artists would be on stage.
