Antonio didn't think he was ever going to see that assassin again. He hoped he wouldn't, seeing as apparently there was a bounty on his head now. Around a week after it happened, he confided in Bella about it.
He waited until lunch, knowing most people would go on break and not need her until about an hour later. He was on his way to her office when he was pulled aside.
"You've been avoiding us, what gives?" Of course it was his two friends, Francis and Gilbert. He knew they had to be concerned about him, as he's been avoiding mostly everyone. He hasn't checked in to do another job yet, either.
"Nothing gives, I just wanted some time to myself." His friends didn't buy it for a second, blue and red eyes narrowing. "Right. Let's go get lunch and catch up, then?" "I can't, I was going to go visit Bella-" Gilbert swung an arm over his shoulders, turning to walk towards the office. "Then we can go with you!" "Yes, I'm curious as to why you'd rather spend time with Bella than with us." "Nothing's going on!" Antonio quickly pulled himself out of the albino's grasp. "I just need to talk to her about something. I'll tell you guys later." He took off, leaving the two to stand in the hallway, confused.
"I wonder what happened." Francis mused. "Maybe it was something in the previous mission? I'm sure he'll bounce back soon, he always does." Gilbert nodded. "It sucks that he won't tell us what happened though. We're supposed to be best friends, a trio yet he won't come to us about something that happened in the job?"

Bella's office was the most comforting one out of all of them. She was given free reign over her office's design, choosing to fill it with fairy lights and pictures of most if not all of the officers on jobs around the world. Antonio knew he gave her a few from the last time he was at home in Spain, and she had them scattered around the walls. He could identify a few from Germany, France, the USA, there were even a few from Ukraine and Belarus with the sisters posing in the photos.
The fairy lights and the computer were the only lights on in the office, barely reflecting anything on the desk except a few flowers in a vase he could see. She was sitting at her desk, checking her phone while finishing her lunch. She heard the door open and looked up, green eyes full of curiosity. "Hi, Antonio! Got a new mission, I take it?" He shook his head, closing the door behind him. "I wanted to talk to you about something. Something that happened in the last mission, it's been bugging me." She set her stuff down, turning her attention to the man. He took a seat, sighing. "What happened? I thought it was an easy one?" "Well, it was. I was on my way back when it happened." And he recalled what happened, from when he found the handkerchief to seeing and learning who the girl was. When he had finished, Bella began typing on her keyboard again. "You encountered Chiara Vargas, one of the top assassins and got out of it alive?" He nodded, beginning to realize how serious this was. She shook her head. "That seems impossible. If she was after you, that means she had a job to kill you. She just let you go?"
She swiveled the computer screen over to him, pulling up a bit more information about the assassin.
She was a freelancer, working whatever job paid highest. She had not failed a single mission. Her main employer was a wealthy man, though he didn't seem corrupt. She also seemed to work for another man, named Romulus, though his jobs were more mundane than her other employer. "It seems like the jobs Romulus puts are just threats to keep things civil. Perhaps you were one of the jobs he put for her?"
"How did you manage to find this stuff?"
"We've considered asking her to join us before. I just happened to keep the file when she refused." Bella liked to hold on to resumes in case people needed the second chance. That was how a few of them managed to wind up here, Bella's insistence on helping them.
"Besides, everything she's put on this file she put willingly. Its saved to the hard drive rather than the computer, and the file is set to destroy itself should it be plugged in anywhere but this computer." She was smarter than she looked, though he suspected that Lux had to do with the technological side.
"Why do you think she let me go?" "Perhaps that Spanish charm helped you out~." She teased. "I don't think that's it-" There was a knock at the door. It opened a few seconds later, revealing Gilbert holding a paper followed by two other assassins- his sister, Monika, and the youngest of the organization, Alfred. "Toni, I got us a mission!"

Chiara reviewed the file placed in front of her.
A corrupt wealthy man hosting a party in a casino he owned. It would be very easy to drug his drinks or poison his snacks, or lure him up to a private room and kill him there, any noises covered by the loud music. It was a few day's travel, probably take two nights in a hotel. Boss was willing to pay fifty grand for this, must be a rival.
She smirked. Too easy.
"I'll take the case." "Ah, I knew you would. You are a really smart girl, it is a really easy case. There is one problem, however."
"And..?" She quirked a brow. How bad could this problem be?
"It seems the organization also got the case, and they have a group for it. To do this job, you'll have to join them."
Chiara kept a composed face, but on the inside she was cursing the organization out. What the hell!? Why? Too easy of a mission to have dead weight!
She gave a small smile. "I will take the case anyway." "I figured you'd probably take charge. I'll leave you to it." "Thank you, sir." She nodded her head to him and left the office, running home to get ready.
