You would've never thought that Jimmy would break up with you, but he did. He dumped you for that girl named Bethany, she was pretty and popular among the school while you were the absolute nerd. You always wondered how such a handsome boy like Jimmy would want to date you, but as long as he did you were happy.

Tears ran down your puffy cheeks as you drove past the huge forest that encircles Hawkins. The trees and street blurred before your eyes because of the thick tears, you had to stop to wipe them off. Taking a deep breath you decided to walk the last few miles to your favorite spot in the woods. You got out of the car and wrapped your arms around your torso to keep you warm. Sad as you were you forgot your jacket at home but it didn't really bothered you. If you'd get sick then at least you wouldn't have to go to school and see Jimmy being all lovely dovely with Bethany.

You locked your car, a Chevrolet Impala 1967, and stepped into the Woods. The path was overgrown with thorns and other brushwood but that couldn't stop you from finding your way trough the dense forest. After walking for about a hour you finally reached a clearing with a beautiful meadow which glimmered in the pale moonlight. You smiled slightly and sighed in awe whilst you sat down beside a large tree where you'd always sit when you felt as if the world would spin to fast.
You breathed in the fresh air and tried to calm your thought down. Everything Jimmy said to you whilst the break up made you feel very insecure about yourself. You knew you weren't a prude for not wanting to sleep with him after just a few weeks into the relationship and that you also weren't a boring childish bitch just for liking books and Disney films but all those things he had said just made you feel so bad about everything you are.

Tears started flowing again and you sobbed miserably knowing that no one would hear you, but someone did.

Billy would always go into the woods to release some of his anger when no one was around to beat up. Here he was alone and could allow himself to be sad, angry and weak. He'd punch against trees or just sit at the clearing, listening to the fireflies buzzing around.

The night that he first meet you wasn't an exception. Billy was devastated. Neil beat him up again for not taking care of Max like he'd prefer it, but in his eyes billy never did anything right when it came to his daughter.

Billy sat between a hill and a huge tree, trying to clean his face by whipping the blood of with his jacket, when he heard a loud sob on the other side of the tree. He didn't realized someone sat down there.
Not wanting to get caught with a bloody nose and tear stained cheeks he remained silent while he listened to your sobs.

"FUCK YOU!" You screamed loud, your voice shaking.

"Jesus! What the heck?!" Billy startled and looked around the tree just to loon into your confused and tear stained face.

"I-I'm sorry I didn't realized someone else's here-" you stuttered, embarrassed that someone heard your ugly wailing. Your eyes adjusted to the darkness and you realized who just stepped out of the shadows. You wanted to die. Of all people in Hawkins it had to be billy Hargrove, the biggest jerk, that caught you here all alone, drowning in waves of sadness and self-pity. To your astonishment, Billy's cheeks were also stained with tears, dirt and blood. You looked at him with shock.

"What happened to your face?" You whispered, reaching into your pocket for a tissue.

"Don't have to worry about it doll." He said and sat down again. Your cheeks turned red by the nickname and you looked away shyly. Billy lit up a cigarette and looked into the sky. Glad that he didn't wanted to know why you were here crying, you sat down next to him. He looked at you a little bit confused, but didn't say anything. He felt that you needed to be here as much as he did, maybe because of different reasons but to achieve the same thing: calming down and blending out everything else in that shitty town called Hawkins.

He didn't wanted to tell you about his father and you didn't wanted to tell him about Jimmy so you two just sat silently next to each other. Enjoying the presence of each other. You looked at the stars, wishing you could be part of them and so did Billy.

"Thank you." You whispered softly.

"For what?" He asked not turning his head, so you wouldn't stare at his wounds.

"For...I don't know...being here here with me I guess?" You smiled not knowing exactly why you wanted to thank him. A soft smile escaped his lips.

"Your welcome then..." he replied.

After a couple hours just looking at the stars billy got up and looked down at you.

"I need to go, do you need a ride back home?" He asked. Not being his usual flirty self he almost seemed human, so you nodded even though your car parked at the edge of the woods and got up. You followed him through the darkness, hoping for him to find the way back, without billy you would been lost already.

"You're not going to kill me out here right?" You asked with a cheeky grin and he laughed softly.

"Nah, I've already killed a cute girl yesterday so don't worry, one per week." He replied.

"So I'm save till next Monday?" Smiling you tried to keep up with his struts. Billy nodded and grinned down at you. You liked his smile, it was bright and beautiful, not fake like the ones he'd give his friends at school or the girls he'd screw with. Butterflies filled your stomach and you couldn't help yourself but grin.

You two drove half an hour to your place, next to the wheeler house and you got out of the car. Billy stepped out of the car as well.

"Thanks for the ride Billy." You said shyly, twisting a strand of hair in your fingers. He made you nervous.

"No problem Doll." He grinned, lighting up another cigarette. You bit down on your lip.

"Can I ask you something? Who did...this to your face?" you finally got that
courage to ask him the question. Billy just shook his head and smiled.

"Maybe I'll tell you next time we meet at the clearing doll." With those words he got back into his car and drove away. Your cheeks burned and your heart pounded in your chest. With a soft smile you got back into your house and laid down in your bed. Thinking about Billy till you fell into a tight slumber, not wasting another thought of the boy who dumped you this morning because you knew in no time you'd sit under the tree with Billy gazing at the stars.
