As we made our way to the roof with each step I became more and more nervous. I didn't even realize it was my turn to climb the ladder until I heard Colby calling me.

I shakily grabbed the ladder and hauled myself up. Half way through I started to feel sick and stopped

"Sam hurry uuuuupp"Jake whined. Tensely I continued moving. After what seemed like hours finally reached the top.

"So we can keep going now?" Elton asked.

"Yes uncle," Corey replied

We continued moving as I continued to become more nervous. One step I could feel the thin wood bending. Two steps the creaking was so loud. Three steps the wood is becoming thinner. Four steps Colby yawns.Five steps, Six steps.

Six steps, six steps is all it took for my world to spiral into chaos.

Everything felt like it was in slow motion. Colby had stumbled. Falling through the thin sheet of wood. The wood was so loud as it broke. Shattering into nothing more than splinters.

Forever. Was how long it felt like Colby fell I blocked out everyone and everything as I sprinted back to the ladder almost not even touching it as I slid down.

"COLBY" I screamed kneeling over Colby. Not caring I was getting blood on my new jeans. "Someone call 911!"

What if he's dead? Part of me asked. No, he's breathing. The other part answered. But what if he's not in 30 seconds? He will be.

"Sam" I heard Elton's voice over my thoughts. I ignored him. "Sam." He said more forcefully. I still ignored him lost in my thoughts. "Samuel John Golbach," he said quiet but stern

"WHAT"  I screamed.

"We have no service"
