It is the year 2012.

You all are probably familiar with how gravity was discovered. Newton saw an apple fall from a tree in his garden and then imagined that it also must be how the moon is moving around Earth and how other planets are revolving around the Sun( the apple actually never fell on his head,that was all fabricated.)

Except that Newton succeeded in becoming a farmer at the age of 17,being a farmer had been a dream since childhood and he finally fulfilled that dream .Because he found his calling early in life ,there was never a need to continue his studies in the fields of physics ,alchemy and so on .Calculus was never invented,the basics for physics were never laid out and the world as we know it ceased to exist .As other scientists didn't have a strong,firm basis to work with ,famous scientists in our time never succeeded in life.No one ever believed Faraday ,Maxwell killed himself after his mother's death and Tesla grew up in his village and died at the age of 40 as a poor gambler .

Countries do not exist, only regions which are divided among the 20 mighty rulers ,they rank themselves from the poorest to the richest region .

Children born in poorest region are often times marketed and sold in wealthy regions where their bodies would be made into medicine,trophies,religious symbols etc..If someone was lucky enough to actually survive as a baby in the poorest region,they would be sent to grow up in communities which often times spread across the whole region.No child knew of their biological mother or father.

A collective of mothers was formed with the purpose of raising and educating children in communities.Every mother would look after each and every child that lived in their neighborhood,this was more of a unspoken rule than an actual one because the system wasn't very well thought out.Being a mother became a job which fell into one of three job categories ,which were : builders ,caretakers and keepers.

Science hasn't even bulged an inch since the middle ages but various religions have come and ceased in the meantime.Because of the lack of modern technology ,humans never stopped evolving ,which led to them developing powers or so called abilities in puberty.

This would be a very short and meager explanation of the world after Newton,now I humbly fall back into my hole and leave you to read the story of two friends,lovers and fighters and their ways of surviving this barbaric hierarchy.

A/N:If anyone is interested if the facts about scientists which I used in this chapter are true or fictional ....they are *drum roll* .....

ALL TRUE,Newton did want to become a farmer early in life but was too weak and fragile hence why he failed. Tesla was a gambling addict and lost all his money in collage and Maxwell's mother died when he was really young , but he didn't want to kill himself because of his scientific career.
