Ryan's P.O.V

The place we elementals live is one of the worst environments ever. The city right next to us. Sound of traffic can be heard from twenty miles away. Smog is often smelt, there are holes in the roof. It's always either to hot or too cold. It sucks. However, I love it none the less. Night picked this place out, she was only seven.

We have grown up too quickly, we could have had normal lives but the universe was just like noooo. I guess Night has the worst of it though. Even with her powers she's just a poor girl. We respect her for that.

However it didn't make Alex worry any less. See Alexis or more commonly Alex is Night's best friend. Closest one to her age and one of the three founders of this group. Including me but no one cares about that. Alex feels like a sister to Night and would break if she never returned. Night's the only one who can get food anymore. Alex and I got caught almost and Night flipped shit. So we just stay here to watch over the younger ones.

Our group is really a lot different than you'd think. I'm a death elemental, which sucks. A lot. Alex and Anna are Earth elementals. Night is a shadow elemental. Lucy is a water elemental. Last but not least is Rosie who is a human that was kidnapped by the lab. We are expecting her to turn into an elemental. However she shows no signs of changing.

Hearing the door break open I look to see a icy blue eyed, pale, black haired girl standing there. "Welcome back Night!" I said which got me an annoyed glare.

Clearly something was up.

I'm just going to let Alex handle her. I don't like that look.

Alex's P.O.V

I hate when Ryan tries to hog Night. She is an independent woman who don't need no man. Besides, she isn't just his, mans gonna get no where with the crushing thing.

Alright I'm not sure if he has a crush but he sure as hell tries to hog her. Walking up to Night she passes me a bag from a taco shop.

"No subs?" I asked a bit confused.          "Long story short, well everyone there was murdered and I was already in a rush." She replies passing out food to the others.

"Sounds lovely,"

"Shut it." She sighed walking into her room. Which was the smallest and most worn down part of the building. Poor thing was claustrophobic too. Well I guess now is not the time. Wonder what happened on the walk home?
