Friends to Strangers

Chapter 5

Kaitlyn's POV

I woke up the next morning and looked at the time realizing it was Monday. Ugh. It was 6:30 and I got up to shower. I picked out a pair of black leggings and a white t-shirt with a grey hoodie and my shirt light brown uggs. I got in the shower and the water was warm. I didn't want to get out because it was cold in my room. It was raining all last night and I couldn't sleep. I got out and blow dried my hair and left it naturally straight.

It was 7:15 and I decided on walking to school. I wanted to see if Harry was okay but I didn't know if he was going to school or not. Once I got to school I went by Jessie's locker to talk to her but she had other intentions. She was sucking faces with Trevor. My eyes opened wide and I turned around and walked away, and I bumped into someone.

"Sorry." I said to the person.

"Hey babe." It was Nathan. He wrapped his arms around my waist as I put my arms around his torso.

"Are you busy later?" He asked not letting go.

"No. Why?"

"Meet me outside after school." He said as he walked passed me. He grabbed the back of Trevor's jacket and pulled him away from Jessie. I laughed as Jessie walked towards me.

"I didn't know Trevor had a thing for me." She said in a really soft voice.

"Oh c'mon it was so noticeable. Are you guys a thing now?" I asked smirking a little and Jessie blushed like crazy.

"Yes! Were going out later today!"

"So are Nathan and I." I said as Jessie dropped her mouth open.

"Really?"

"Yeah but I hope it's not a double date thing. I should go, the bell is about to ring."

I walked to Harry's locker and thankfully, he was there. I walked up to him and grabbed his wrist before he could leave.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. I didn't want to come today but I had to." He said getting books out his locker. "Can you come over later?"

"I can't, Harry. I'm going out with Nathan."

"Oh okay. Well I'm happy for you." He said and smiled weakly.

"Thanks. I'll come by tomorrow okay?" I told him hugging him. He let go and closed his locker.

"Okay bye."

After school I waited outside the school with Jessie. Trevor and Nathan came out a couple minutes later. Trevor put his arm around Jessie's waist and Nathan put his hand in mine.

"Bye guys!" I said as they walked away.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"My place. I thought we could have a movie date." He said smiling.

"That's sounds great." I said as he led me to his car. I got in the passenger seat and Nathan in the drivers seat. We reconnected out hands and he drove us to a movie rental shop. We got there and we started looking for films.

"What do you want to watch?" He asked.

"Let's get the notebook!" I said as I handed him a copy of The Notebook.

"Okay." We payed for the film and went to his flat.

We got out of the car and went into his house. He lead me to his bedroom and he put the Notebook in the DVD player. I took off my boots and placed my bag next to my boots. I sat down on his bed as he sat next to me. I placed my hand in his, intertwining our fingers. We placed the sheets up to our hips.

In the middle of the movie, my eyes started to get heavy. I rested my head on Nathan's shoulder and closed my eyes.

"Are you tired?" He asked. I nodded my head and he let go of my hand.

"You can sleep if you want." He said as I moved my body closer to his as I rested my head on his chest and he put his arm around me. I put my legs over his and he gently rested his chin on the too of my head. I must have of fell asleep because it was 7 pm and it was starting to get dark.

"Nathan?" I said as he shuffled his body seconds later.

"Mmhhmm?" He said not opening his eyes.

"It's getting late. I should go."

"Oh okay."

I picked up my bag and slipped into my boots and we walked outside.

"Can you walk me home?"

"Sure." He said holding my hand.

5 minutes later we were in front of my house and Nathan hugged me tight.

"I had a good time today." He said as he looked down at me. He was about 4 inches taller then me but I'm not sure.

He then cupped my cheeks in his hands as he brushed his thumb over one side of my cheek. He kissed me softly. I kissed back and rested my hands on his shoulders. Our lips parted and I smiled as he bit his lip.

"Bye." I said and walked into my house. Well today was interesting.
