Chapter 2: Meeting a sun dragon and joining Beacon

*****3rd person POV*****

It has been nearly a year since Y/N has saved Amber from Cinder fall and her lackeys and things have been looking up for the young conduit. He had recently turned seventeen and has continued to foil the White Fang's plans and save several villages around Remnant. Rumors about him have begun to spread and people started calling him "The Wandering Protector" much to his chagrin as he wanted to stay low. He also had another problem with fan girls *shudders*.
Y/N: 'I swear to god, they are nothing but a disease.' Yes, our favorite conduit has experienced, first handedly, the horrors of fan girls. Oddly, every time he gets chased by fan girls Amber seems to be surrounded by a dark auto that just freaked him out, and whenever he asks her if somethings wrong, she just hmphs and walks away, much to the conduit's confusion.
Speaking of Amber, the Fall Maiden continued to travel with Y/N and was amazed about his story, and the potential he had. Y/N also explained to her his backstory and where he came from including conduits. She was at first disgusted by how humans discriminated Conduits like they did for Faunus, but calmed down when she heard how his dad proved that not all conduits are bad. Over the next year, she began to develop feeling for him, and got mad whenever he was chased by a hoard of fan girls.

Currently, Y/N was heading towards Junior's bar in order to get some information on the White Fang and Roman Torchwick. He reached the door before showing the guards his Id, and then entered the bar and ordered a drink. Thanks to his conduit powers, particularly smoke, he cannot get drunk. After finishing his drink, he went off to look for Junior when all of a sudden, he heard the sound of a fight starting.
Y/N: "What the-" he muttered before he was cut off by Junior's men getting sent flying into walls and getting knocked out. Looking to where they came from, he saw a blond haired girl with purple eyes and yellow gauntlets that seemed to have a shotgun function. He then noticed some men trying to catch her from behind. Thinking quickly, he unraveled his chain and rushed to the fight. He then wrapped his chain around the leg of the first man and pulled him toward him self before punching him with a concrete infused fist, knocking the guy out. He then charged at the next guy and slashed at him with his chain knocking him out as well.
On the sidelines, the blond girl was eyeing Y/N with interest and licked her lips at the sight of his handsome face.
???: 'Hello handsome, mama likes what mama sees~' thought the girl as she continued to stare at him as he continued to take down the men.
When he was done taking all of them, two girls who appeared to be twins appeared in front of him. Y/N recognized them as Militia and Melanie Malachite. He had run into them several times before and even had to work together several times. The girls were always very flirty with him and over the few times that the worked together managed to talk as friends. As a result, the twins also had feelings for him and were a bit hesitant about fighting him. Y/N, noticing their hesitance, mother a "sorry" before neon sprinting to them and hit them at special pressure points knocking them out.
Laying them down, Y/N then left the bar seeing as there is no use of being there. The blond girl, seeing him leave, caught up to him.
???: "Hey wait up!" She shouted as she rushed after him. Y/N turned around surprised and noticed it was the girl who started the fight.
???: "My name is Yang Xiao Long, nice to meet ya! Can I know your name cutie~" she said in a sing song voice and with a wink at the end. Y/N blushed for a brief moment before regaining his composure.
Y/N: "Hi I'm Y/N Rowe, nice to meet you too Yang." The conduit responded before remembering he had to he meet Amber at their hotel room. The two exchanged scroll numbers before separating.
*****timeskip (because I am lazy)*****
It has been 3 days since the incident at Junior's and Y/N has stayed in contact with Yang via scroll. Now, Y/N is wandering through the streets of vale and crossed by a shop named "from dust till dawn" when all of a sudden,the window shattered and a man was sent flying onto the streets along with a little girl with red-tipped black hair and silver eyes. She was wearing a read cloak and hood. But something that surprised him was the massive scythe that she was carrying.
Y/N then saw a figure stepping outside the window and immediately recognized him as Roman Torchwick. Y/N has had several encounters with the criminal and his partner Neo stopping dust robberies. Though to the conduit's confusion, every time he sees Neo, she always seems to be staring at him like a love sick puppy.
Back to the present, Roman told his men to go after the little girl who, surprisingly, held her own and also used he speed to decimate all of the men in the span of a minute.
Y/N: 'Wow she's good, and judging by her appearance, she shouldn't be older than 15.' He thought impressed by the level of skill the young girl showed in taking those men down. he then snapped out of his thoughts in time to see Roman aiming his gun at the girl. Thinking quickly, Y/N neon sprinted at the girl and moved her out of danger.
Y/N: "Hey, are you alright?" Y/N asked with concern. The young girl was surprised by suddenly being grabbed and pulled to safety. She then looked up to see the face of her savior and immediately blushed at seeing his handsome face.
???: "Y-yeah I-I'm fine, th-thank you for saving me." The girl stuttered out whitch a small blush on her face. Seeing this, Y/N was able to snap her out of her thoughts and the two went after Roman.
Roman, seeing the familiar face of Y/N, immediately scowled at the boy responsible for fouling many of his robberies for the past two years and threw a red dust crystal and aimed his gun at them and fired. He then jumped into the bullhead and laughed like a maniac when he saw a huntress with blond hair and green eyes. Said huntress began to launch attacks at the bullhead causing it to shake violently. But with the help of Cinder Falls, they were able to escape.
Back with Y/N, he and the girl were in awe at the fight they witnessed, but Y/N was mad that has failed to put Roman behind bars. He was then interrupted from his thoughts by the girl as she was talking to the huntress who saved them.
Red-hooded girl: "Your a huntress, *squeal* can I have your autograph!" She exclaimed enthusiastically, but the huntress did not share the same enthusiasm and put the two in bubbles carrying them with her.
Huntress: "You two are coming with me." She said in a stern voice that left no room for argument.

The huntress brought the two to an interrogation room and started to scold them for being reckless.
Huntress: "Your actions today will not be taken lightly, you both put yourselves in grave danger."
Red-hooded girl: "They started it!" She tried to answer back .
Y/N: "I have to agree with her on that one." He said supporting the girl to which she smiled st him in appreciation.
Huntress: "If it were up to me, you would be sent home with a pat on the back *both smile* and a slap on the wrist." The huntress said as she brought her riding crop down narrowly missing the girls hand as she let out a small shriek that sounded adorable before she continues. "*sighs* but, there is someone who wants to meet you." She said as she moved to the side to reveal a man with silver hair, and glasses. He was wearing a green scarf and a dark green suit. He was also carrying a mug of coffee in one hand and a plate of cookies in his other hand.
Silver-haired man: "Ruby Rose, you have silver eyes." He said as he looked into the girl's eyes.
Ruby: "Umm." Ruby replied not sure of what to say as Y/N thought that he was acting creepy.
Silvered-haired man: "So, where did you learn to fight like that." He said as he gestured to the scroll the  huntress from earlier was carrying and was showing a recording of Ruby fightin earlier.
Ruby: "Signal Academy." She answered.
Silver-haired man: "Really? They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons out there." The man questioned back.
Ruby: "Well, one teacher in particular." She responded.
Silver-haired man: "I see." He replied thoughtfully and placed the plate of cookies in front of the two teens. And within a few seconds, Ruby had eaten all of them. "It's just, I have only seen one scythe wielder of that skill, a dusty old crow." Finished the man as Ruby responded by saying that was her uncle Qrow who taught her how to wield a scythe before making karate-chop motions with her hands that in Y/N's opinion, was completely adorable.
Silver-haired man: "Do you know who I am?" He questioned.
Ruby: "Your Professor Ozpin, your the headmaster at beacon." That caught Y/N by surprise as he knew that Beacon was a very prestigious school for teaching people to become huntsmen. To meet it's headmaster was something not many people experience.
Ozpin: "Would you like to join my school?" He asked Ruby.
Ruby: "More than anything."
Ozpin: "*smiles* Well alright then." He responded much to the ire of the blonde woman behind him. He then turned to Y/N.
Ozpin: "And you young man?" He asked to which the conduit agreed. The two were then released and told to take a bullhead to beacon in three days.
*****Timeskip cuz I'm lazy*****
Y/N just arrived to the apartment he shares with Amber and told her of what happened and she congratulated him and told him to be careful.
After that, the conduit went to bed and one last thought ran through his head before sleep finally overtook him.
Y/N: 'I wonder how things will turn out.'
