Denis' POV

The doctor just walked in and said that we have a problem.

"What's the problem?" I ask.

"Um, oh how do I say this," the doctor sighed, "Alex, your daughter, she might not make it."

Everyone was still, and it was as if time had been frozen. Then, Alex says,

"What's wrong with her?"

"She has a malfunction with both of her kidneys, they died inside of her, and the only way to save her would be able to get a new kidney. But it has to be from a person with her blood type, and a relatively same sized kidney as her's were," the doctor replies, "But, her blood type is one of the rarest of them all. AB negative. Only .6 people in the country have it. But, her youngest brother has the same blood type as her, so we might be able to save her, but if we try to do the surgery, then they both might die, because it's risky doing it when people are older, it's 10 times harder when their this young."

"If we decide to have you do the surgery, what is the percentage that they will make it out alive?" I ask quietly.

"3%"
