INCALESCENCE; CHAPTER FOUR

NICO GROWLED IN FRUSTRATION, as God approached. "This is all your fault!" Nico spat, as his eyes flickered black.

"Excuse me?" God asked, rather confused about Nico's sudden attitude change. "Did something happen?"

Nico growled again, "I need to talk to Lucifer." God nodded, holding out His arm, which Nico took and the two appeared before Lucifer.

"Ah, good you're back. The self-proclaimed princes of hell seem to believe they're deserving of their royal titles so why don't we go teach those imbeciles a lesson? I could use some help." Lucifer greeted with a devilish grin.

Lilith rolled her eyes, "how those feathered cowards are going to forgive you is a mystery to me. But nonetheless, I agree with your sentiment. Nicholas, if you are to become the king of hell, as your nickname suggests then heed my advice. Those so called princes will only be a thorn in your side in the coming years. I suggest dealing with them beforehand."

God rolled His eyes, "Samael, we will talk after you have had your fun. Nicholas, the same applies to you, we will also need to have another conversation about your future." Nico nodded, only half listening, and God knew that but He left anyway, not wanting to get involved with the business occurring in hell.

"So before we murder some princes, I have a question. Why is it that shadowhunters and the downworlders call it Edom but angels and demons call it Hell? Which is it?" Nico asked the question that has been pestering him this entire time.

"Of course, you'd ask that. Technically the realm is Edom just as Earth is, well, Earth. But my siblings dubbed it as Hell, since no one wanted to be here, though I believe it's the other way round in my personal opinion. Heaven's too sterile. It makes me rather uncomfortable, but then again, our realm is much too crowded so I suppose it has its disadvantages."

Nico shrugged, "I don't think anyone minds to be fair."

Lilith rolled her eyes, "the lesser demons are simple minded, to put it lightly. They crave chaos and strife but that's about it. But enough about that. Nicholas, what do you know of the demon princes of hell?"

Nico hummed in thought, "I believe that Magnus' dad is one of them, but I'm not really sure."

Lucifer nodded, "indeed. Magnus Bane is the son of Asmodeus, the demon of lust."

"You know what, that kind of makes sense, but I digress. How many others are there? Do we need to kill Magnus' dad? I don't want Magnus to be angrier than he already is with me. I still love him, even if he doesn't love me still. Then again, he has Alec, so he should have all the comfort he shall ever need. Anyway, who are the other princes of hell?" Nico rambled before getting back to the topic at hand.
