Cattaleya knew her mother abused of her father and used him because of his loyalty something all Italians took to the grave something my mother couldn't hold onto long enough
'
Verona ITALY
"uno due tre....." Vince counted out loud it was Cattleya and Victor's turn to hide and she knew Vince would never find her in the second-floor bathroom he hated going upstairs alone
her small feet padding along the hardwood floor going up the flight of stairs "sette otto nove" he was almost done his words where starting to be droned out with someone's moans someone was in pain "mama" little Cattleya whispered seeing as there was no replay but louder noises started coming from her parents room it was mixed with a males voice
Papa wasn't home for another two months he was on his special business trips that he would always come back with spectacular stories

Her hands shot out towards the door her small fingers wrapping around the doorknob rotating it and pushing through she saw a man completely naked and her mother on her knees pleasuring him his grunts load and disgusting he didn't compare to her father but why would her mother do this Papa loved her

Broken hopes and dreams. The idea of a perfect family vanished in that exact moment.

tears filled cattaleya's eyes she didn't have to know what they were doing to know it was something only mommy and daddies did
'

since then betrayal was all she felt from  her mother, how quickly Cattleya's love turned to hate. She allowed that negative emotion to swallow her and pour acid into her soul. She fought for the good memories, the reasons to be kind.

Cattleya fought to keep herself empathic even as every terrible thing she had predicted came true. For her, that's the betrayal, that lack of willingness to fight the negative thoughts and to think the best of her, to recall her soul as it was when they laughed.

Taping done the last strap of gauze slowly pulling done her sleeves not trying to put much pressure on her mutilated skin covering three-fourths of the white medical cloth

Blinking a couple of times letting the faint memories stay in the past, and since that day everything slowly started to go done hill she knew in some strange way if she would have told her mother she knew, things would have been different so different but it was too late and poor decisions had already been made. with one last deep breath Cattleya looked at herself through the last bits of mirror that hadn't fallen and pulled her self together she had a meeting to attend in thirty minutes and she couldn't look like a mess not in front of Hawthorne.
'

The room was full of familiar faces
Hawthorne's men littered the Office it was a meeting to discuss the grand party that is to come in three days due time it marks the fiftieth annual new money ceremony
there's always double the number of people every year the venue grows and it's gotten more dangerous for people Like Mr.Hawthorne and his fellow snobby rich friends or like he says 'allies'

To recent disposers, all six men that sat in their golden knickers have gotten a threatening message on radio and piece of paper from what she had figured out was the mafia trying to get rid of them

"Settle down I think I found a perfect solution to our ordeal" Hawthorne stated getting up and dropping a beige folder in front of everyone's seat

" and how is that" Roger remarked skepticism dripping from his every single word. Anger arouse inside of her, how dare he question Hawthorne he was by far the most intelligent lethal man of the bunch

"listen" she stated as all the men head snapped in her direction her eyes focused on Hawthrone "Thank you, Catt," he stated smugly knowing she didn't like the disrespect

"if you would open your folders" the sound of the page being turned occupies the quiet room it was her turn to look at the array of pages and stopped when her eyes landed on the man  that starred back at her on the paper; He had tousled dark brown hair, which was thick and lustrous. His eyes were a mesmerizing deep ocean blue, flecks of silvery light performed ballets throughout. His face was strong and defined, his features molded from granite. He had dark eyebrows, which sloped downwards in a serious expression drawn into a hard line across his face. His perfect lips ripe for the kissing. his taunting cold silver eyes raised goose bumps on her porcelain skin the ink that traveled along his jaw darkened his appearance

by far this was the most beautiful mugshot she had ever laid eyes and in general a breathtaking man but he seemed so familiar she thought her finger traveled down his pronounced cheekbones to familiar, her eyes scanned over the page reading,  Incarcerated-Life in prison Her finger trailed the words, Mafia King

"Veneno aka Vitale Valentino the Mafia's biggest fear" his words turned to ash her blood went cold Valentino the last name replayed in her head that family was the most feared family In all of Italy they controlled Everyone

Those old folk tales of never staying out past nine because the Valentino's where going to. "catch you" was no joke they didn't play games, her life was a bike with training wheels compared to they're hostility but most importantly

Why was they're eldest son incarcerated?

flipping through the pages there wasn't a real reason that meant he would be stuck life in prison she knew there were millions of reasons for that family to be incarcerated but they were smart the law wasn't going to stop them, no that's absurd.

Looking up at Hawthorne her eyes focused on his moving lips but nothing seemed to connect, nothing made sense.

"He will start to work for me as soon as he makes it" a sinister smile played on his lips as the other man cheered and congratulated him "why would he work for you" Rogers snorted this guy always got on her nerves but he was completely right that was the most valid thing that had been said during this whole ordeal

"I help him kill his Father he helps me survive his Father," he said smugly shrugging his shoulders that's impossible she thought looking down at the man in the folder she tore the page out with his picture his stoic look put hers to shame folding it and stuffing it into her back pocket

See you soon Veneno
