Chapter 13

Arthit's POV

We are at the airport waiting for Kong, Aunt Nomi and Uncle Kerklai. I'm so excited, and nervous. I know I shouldn't be. He is just my best friend, but I can't help it. I even styled my hair. You know, not to be out done by my sister here with her super short shorts. Do my parents even see what she is wearing? Maybe I can undo one more button on my top. Should I?

Krystal: Hey, I think I see them.

Aunt Belle: Nomi! Over here!

I see Aunt Nomi picking up her speed. I see Kong coming closer. He has gotten so much taller.  He is wearing a blue button down shirt and dark blue denim with a pair of black frames. How does he look so simple, yet so handsome. Arthit, you need to come down and act normal.

What the..

Krystal jumps on Kong wrapping her legs around him. Kong is forced to catch her, and is laughing with everybody at Krystal's antics.

Krystal: Kongpob!!! I've missed you so much.

Kongpob: I've missed you too little missy.

Aunt Belle: Get down Krystal. Where's your manners? There's a lot of people here. Behave would you?

Aunt Nomi: Oh just let them be. They've always been like that.

Uncle Tae: Krystal, get down now. It's not like he is coming back from war. You silly girl.

Everyone laughs, and Krystal gets down pouting, but wraps her arm around Kong's left arm.

I'm standing here just watching them. I am beyond annoyed, but there's nothing I can do.

Kong looks at me, and gently gets out of Krystal's hold. He walks towards me with a big smile. He wraps his arms around me giving me a tight hug.

"You're finally back."

"I missed you."

"I missed you more."

"I know."

I hit his back a couple times. Both of us knowing the all too mysterious and familiar 'I know' answer. I still don't know what we are doing, but I hope I can finally get an answer. Although, this isn't too bad as long as I can keep myself from trying to kiss him. That's a big 'if' now, as I want to do it right here and right now to claim him.

Uncle Tae: Arthit, let go of Kongpob so he can breathe. Again, it's not like your husband just came back from war.

Everyone erupts in laughter again.

Aunt Nomi: They are in their own world again. We are like air when those two are together.

We finally pulled apart. I laugh and offered to help Aunt Nomi with her luggage. Krystal instantly took the opportunity to grab Kong's arm and pulled him away. So, it's pretty safe to say that my own sister is my love rival, because she definitely does not behave that way with me.

Kongpob's POV

Stepping out of the plane, I can instantly smell the sweet air of home. I can't wait to go to all my favorite food stalls.

I think I see Arthit. He is wearing a white button down shirt and black jeans with white sneakers. He looks taller. Was he in a hurry? Why didn't he button his shirt? Oh, there's Krystal.

Ooph...

Krystal runs towards me, and jumped onto me. I had no choice put to catch her in my arms.

Krystal: Kongpob!!! I've missed you so much.

Kongpob: I've missed you too little missy.

Whoa! She has done a lot of growing. I can feel things that weren't there before pressing up against me. Bad Kongpob, bad. Oh, she has gotten heavier too.

While the adults are cracking a joke, all I do is look at Arthit. I can already tell he is annoyed. I really want to hold him instead. I better go calm him down.

The moment Krystal got off me, she immediately hooked my arm with her's. I really wanted to go over to Arthit to take the pout off his face. So I unwind myself from Krystal and headed over to Arthit, and gave him a long tight hug.

Whispering in my ears, "You're finally back."

I whispered back, "I missed you."

"I missed you more."

"I know."

And to that, he lightly hit me a couple of times while still holding on to me. Oh, I am so glad to be back. We pulled apart after Uncle Tae cracked that same joke again. Arthit was blushing so cutely. He went to help my mom with her luggage. While I was dragged out by Krystal where she launched like 20 questions at me. I had to secretly slip the bracelet back on while she wasn't paying attention. She has gotten a lot taller too, and she doesn't look as much like Arthit anymore. They used to look like the boy and girl versions of each other. Now, Krystal is a young lady. Arthit has only gotten taller. He is still as cute with his baby face.

It is great to be home. Once I reached my room, I plopped down on my bed looking up at the ceiling wondering how many days will I be jet lagged. I closed my eyes, and a smile creeps onto my face as reality sinks in, that I am finally home. Krystal came in with a cola, and pressed it against my cheek. I was shocked by the chill, but it felt good since it's so hot today.

Krystal laughs with glee for successfully making me jump. So, I launched my tickle fingers in attack, and she tried to do the same. In matter of minutes we were in a giggling mess. Both our hair resembled more like a bird's nest. My glasses flew somewhere on the ground, and Krystal's shirt was no longer neatly tucked.

Krystal: Stop Kongpob! That tickles. You're not being fair.

Kongpob: You were asking for it.

Krystal: No. No. No. Please stop. I'll be good.

Kongpob: I'm not letting you go that easy.

Bang!

I turned to see Arthit's confused face. I was standing on my bed, Krystal was laying down. I had one of my arms clamped around Krystal's legs, and my free hand was tickling the bottom of her feet. She had a pillow in her hand that she was hitting me with.

Arthit: Oh, what are you guys doing?

Kongpob: Haha... we're just playing around. Wanna help me?

Krystal: No, Arthit! You can't betray me. Help!

And just like that we were like kids again.
