Chapter 3

Logan couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned but his body won't let him sleep. On top of that his stomach hurt, he was hot and then cold, he  was grumpy, and just want cuddles. Eventually a fitful sleep overtook the three year old toddler and he fell asleep. 

--------------------- The Next Morning-------------------------

Thomas woke up to the sounds of giggles and squeaking. He opened his eyes to see Deceit and Virgil bouncing  on his bed.

"Okay you two I'm up! I'm up!" The two boys giggled at their dad being dramatic and sat down on either side of him.

"What has got you to so excited?" Of course he already knew the answer to that question. He had promise everyone that this weekend they would have a fun day out. 

"So when are we leaving?" Virgil asked.

"As soon as everyone is up and has eaten breakfast." Thomas got of his bed and headed towards the door. 

" How about you two go wake up Remy, Roman, and Patton for me." The boys raced out the door to go wake their brothers and Thomas walked towards Logan's room hoping that he felt better than last night. He quietly open the youngest door and walked to his bed. At first glance Thomas could see something was not right. As he got closer Logan seem to be drenched in sweat and shivering. The young boy was paler than normal and flushed. Thomas's heart sank at the sight of Logan being in pain, gently shaking his shoulder so he would wake up.

"Logan time to get up." Thomas said in a gentle voice. Logan stirred and let out a cough that sounded like it hurt. After a few seconds he sat and looked at Thomas.

"Hurts dad." He said as tries rolled down his cheeks. Thomas picked the poor kid up and rocked him back and forth.

"Shh. I know buddy. Can you tell me what hurts?"

"M-my throat, head, tummy." 

"Okay you want some medicine buddy?" Thomas brushed the hair the was on Logan's sweaty forehead. Logan nodded and Thomas made his journey down stairs. Logan closed his eyes and snuggled into his dad knowing that he was safe. Once Thomas reached the kitchen the other five came running down the stairs fully dressed and ready for a fun day. 

"GOOD MORNING!" Roman belted out causing Logan to freak out and start crying. Thomas gave Roman a stern look.

"Roman volumes please. You know Virgil doesn't like loud and sudden noises and Logan's head hurts." Everyone turned towards their dad and younger brother. They thought Logan coughing last night was just that a cough. Patton was the first to step toward Logan.

"Hey buddha, do not feel well?" Logan looked at him and nodded. He looked up at his dad then made grabbie hands towards Patton. Patton smiled sadly and pick him up. 

"So we're not gonna have a fun day out today?" Virgil asked. The kid looked so disappointed. Then an idea can into Patton's head.

"Hey dad what if you take everyone on a fun day out and I'll stay home with Logan?" Thomas thought for a moment. Patton was super mature for his age and could probably handle Logan, yet he still wasn't super confident about the idea.

"Only under a few conditions, you call if something happens and only if Logan wants to." Logan looked up at Thomas and nodded that he was okay with this. 

"Alright then everyone get ready who's going." 

"Me!" The younger four said in unison.
