Chapter 2- Ashton's Breakdown

Kat's P.O.V

Hannah had shared my worry after I confessed to seeing Ashton's bruise, she had also convinced me to calm down and try and relax. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get Ashton off my mind. So I walked down the small dingy corridor and into the living room, where Hannah was watching Season 4 of Hawaii 5-0. I padded into the kitchen and grabbed some Ben and Jerry's before padding back into the living room and plopping down on the couch beside my sister. "all we need is our two favourite guys, ben and Jerry!" I giggled, she laughed along with me and grabbed the spoon making space for me to cuddle up to her.

It had just got a really good part of the episode and we heard a loud crash come from the bakery below. "What the fuck was that?" I asked, looking over to Hannah, she looked exactly how I felt; Terrified. I gulped loudly as she whispered "Grab something to protect yourself, were going downstairs" I reached for the nearest thing I could, my hand finding the tub of ben and jerry's and Hannah finding a spoon.

We shared a look of panic before unlocking the front door and carefully making our way down the narrow flight of stairs. When we got to the bottom we noticed the trays I had brought in earlier were lying scattered on the floor. Well that explains the crash. I continued looking around and heard what I thought was someone sobbing "Hey Husky, do you hear that?" I whisper shouted and she replied "yeah it's coming from the corner over there" she motioned to the corner closest to me with her elbow. I nodded holding my finger to my lips and walked around the counter "Oh my god, husky over here!" I shouted. Hearing a muffled yell of "oh shit stupid mop" come from the main shop.

Ashton was curled up in the foetal position, his small fragile body shaking with sobs. His clothes were ripped and he had blood dripping down his legs and face. I walked towards him and he flinched away and tried to make himself  smaller, if that's even possible. My heart shattered at the site of the broken boy.  I felt myself tear up and forced back the tears.  No I can't cry, I have to help Ashton.  I sat in front of him and spoke softly "Hey Ashybear, it's me Peach"  he didn't move an inch so I laid my arm on his shoulder as his body erupted into violent sobs, once again.

I didn't hesitate this time as I pulled him towards me, protectively wrapping my arms around him and holding him tight, letting him sob into my shoulder. I looked at Hannah and felt my voice break a little as I spoke "Husky the first aid kit" she nodded and dashed back up the stairs and out of sight.  

A little while later after a lot of wincing and whimpering from Ashton, he was no longer bleeding and his wounds were clean and dressed.  I can't seem to forget the look of pain and vulnerability that flashed in his eyes as we cleaned him up. He hasn't said a word since he got here and its starting to scare me. He's just sat with his arms round his knees rocking back and forth. Sighing I get up and grab the purple fluffy blanket off the back of the couch and get him to lay down, draping the blanket over him "get some sleep Ash , It's been a long day"

We're just down the hall and we'll be right here when you wake up. I promise" I whispered as I kissed his forehead. His eyes were starting to droop and he smiled a little when my lips met his forehead. I started walking towards my room and almost didn't hear him as he spoke so softly "save me" My eyes started to water, he truly was broken. 

A/N Hey Guys, Sorry this update took so long, I didn't get enough comments or votes but i thought i'd update anyway. I don't think many of you are reading this since i'm nto getting many votes or comments. i'd love some feedback from on what you think of it so far and what you'd like me to add in and such. Even if you don't like it i'd like to know how you think i can improve it. This is a short update while i get to writing the next chapter. Hope you like it guys.
