"DESIREE FUCKING WRIGHT GET YOUR SKINNY ASS DOWN HERE WE ARE LATE FOR CLASS GODDAMMIT" i heard my best friend Tracy Morgans shout from the living room of our apartment. She clearly wasn't impressed when she found me still in bed 15 minutes before our History class was going to start in college.

"I'm coming you butt just wait a little bit more!" I shouted back at her while I was fighting to get into my jeans. "And for your information there is nothing skinny about my ass if it's taking this long to get into jeans," I continued and she replied with a brief 'whatever'. After what felt like an eternity, I was finally ready and I bolted out the door into the living room to find Tracy sitting on a couch with a look that could damn well kill me.

"Took you long enough," she said as we both walked out the door and speed walked to her car in the parking lot. As soon as we got inside, she booked it as fast as she could to our college to avoid being even more late. We had a reputation for being latecomers but that was intentional so we didn't get the sickening feeling in your stomach that feels like you'd be murdered if you took even a second longer. This, this was definitely that feeling.

"If Professor Vera doesn't murder us for our thousandth late, you will by how fast you're driving, Trace," I commented and she didn't even acknowledge me.

"Well if SOMEONE didn't slept through their alarm that sounds like the Purge thing then we wouldn't have to go this fast," she snapped back. Then we looked at each other and after a moment we burst out laughing.

"You know what, wanna just skip this time?" I smirked and she shot me a look.

"This is like what, the tenth time we'd skip if we're doing that now," she rolled her eyes before continuing to focus on driving.

"Eleventh actually but who's counting" I shrugged. "But honestly we're already this late we might as well just skip the rest of the day," I continued and she sighed.

"Okay but just because I'm too excited to talk to you about the guy you went on a blind date with for me," she said and something about that made my chest clench.

What the hell, what was that reaction.

"Sure, let's go to Reese's Café," I suggested and she agreed.

Soon, we were pulling up in front of the famous Reese's Café, known for its amazing coffee and ambiance. Plus it's just a really cozy place to sit and talk.

Tracy and I went inside and ordered our usual, two lattes. Then, we took our drinks to a booth at the back and sat down.

While I was sipping on my coffee, Tracy started to tell me things about Adrian, the guy from the blind date.

"Soooooo, I found out that the guy's dad is the CEO of a major finance company and he's training to take over when his dad retires! And, he's also very much into sports and...." Tracy's voice started to fade as my mind went to the night of the blind date.

~Flashback~

I'm there sitting alone at L'Ecole, the restaurant we were supposed to meet up, waiting for this Adrian guy to arrive. It's been 15 minutes already and I wanted to complain that he's late but reality is that Tracy made me go there 30 minutes early just so I could be prepared or something. Technically speaking, he's not late yet.

Then, as I was about to take out my phone and text Tracy how dumb this plan is, I heard a deep accented voice beside me say, "Tracy Morgans?"

I turned to look and in front of me was the most gorgeous being I've ever laid eyes on. His hair was neatly combed to the back and his eyes a striking emerald. His built was perfect as well and I imagined running my hands through his chest to feel his muscles before I snapped back to reality.
