Jeordie's POV
I don't even know this guy's name. He's just... I don't even know. I guess you could say angelic, but in a demonic way, like Lucifer. He's supposedly a fallen angel and he used to be God's favorite, so even he can be beautiful.
"What's your name? I was never told." I break him from thought with the question.
He looks into my eyes with his own, gorgeous, golden-brown ones. "Oh. I'm Brian." If it isn't obvious by now, I quite like him so far. He probably doesn't even like guys, though.
"Nice to have a roommate now, Brian." I smile warmly at him and get up off my bed. He smiles back and starts to unpack his suitcase into the chest at the foot of his bed. I grab a green baby doll dress out my own chest and head to our bathroom. "I'm going to take a quick shower. Oh, and after today, they aren't going to let you wear that. It's either the uniform or you get punished." I look down at my scarred knuckles.
"Cool. Let 'em punish me. Whatever they do can't be that bad." He just seems to brush it off. I'll let him learn on his own.
I turn back to the shower. "Whatever you say, Brian." I shut the door and proceed to wait for the water to get warm. Meanwhile, I strip myself from the horrid uniform. It's so ugly, it might as well just wear me.
I step into the already steamy chamber and do a fairly normal shower routine. About 20 minutes later I'm drying off and slipping on my dress.
I walk out to see Brian writing in a small book and I think he's slightly humming. "What are you up to?" I ask quietly. I didn't know if he knew I was there, so I didn't want to startle him.
He looked at me. "Oh. Nothing really. Just doodling and scribbling." He noticed my dress and asked, "You're allowed to wear that?"
"As long as I don't go out in it, I'm fine." I flop on my bed and pull a blanket over my legs.
"So they don't come and check on us?"
I shrug. "Not really. They do like once a month, but that's all really."
"Oh. That slightly surprises me." He said with his left eyebrow raised.
"It surprised me at first, but it's just kind of 'eh' now." I say yawning. "I think I'm going to go to bed early." I sink lower into the bed and roll over, so my back is facing Brian.
"Oh. Okay. See you in the morning. Hope the light doesn't bother you."
"Nope. It's fine. I'm not facing it, so I'm good. Keep writing or whatever. Night." I shift so that I'm laying on my stomach, but with the left side of my face on the pillow.
Brian sighed. "Alright. Good night, Jeordie."
