The day went by slowly, and it was as boring as ever. I decided that I wasn't going into tonight without coming up with a plan, it had been idiotic for me to go in blindly, supposing that after all these years I'd be able to control myself. Idiotic...
Why would I even think of that!?
I slashed the wall furiously, and it made a deafening clanging sound, I sat for a very long time, deep in thought, I was suddenly disturbed as
Chica drew open the violet curtains. She wore a cheery face, I glanced at her feathers, they were sparkling, she was probably just cleaned. In between parties was the only time in restaurant hours that we got a small glimpse of free roam, but it was very limited, and we had to stay behind stage, and in some other unseen rooms. I got free-roam all day, they had just slapped an out of order sign on me and ignored me entirely! That was about the only upside to the whole thing. I sat down in one of the chairs, and she did the same.
"Hey Foxy!" She smiled, breaking my thought chain.
"Ahoy, lassie!" I tried my best to hold a smile.
"How are you holding up?"
"Same old, thee cap'n gets pretty lonely these days." I sighed.
"You know you don't have to isolate yourself." Chica offered.
There was a moment of silence before Chica continued,
"I brought you some pizza." She handed over a large box, labeled 'Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria.' "It's not much, but it's the best we could gather up from the leftover's, not many people come these days, and the manager has been so tight on cash that he's made the pizzas smaller, most of the customers finish them easily."
I nodded in thanks.
"I've been mean'n te ask ye somthin.'"
"What is it?" She tilted her head slightly to the side, and her feathers bounced elegantly.
"Ye know...it's a strange question... But...do ye ever feel bad fer killin' all thee guards?"
She was silent for a moment, her eyes dulled.
"Of course, most of us do, don't we? We've just learnt to accept it, we can't control ourselves, the more we struggle, the further we'll tangle ourselves." She said so softly it was almost inaudible."Freddy has been acting strange lately though, he seems enthusiastic about killing...too...early for Kaydon to have already been in control."
"That can't be good, but what would ye think of hel'pn me out to save the ol' security guard? Te pay off some of some of our debt? Even if we arr te fail, there is noth'n te lose."
She took a moment before exhaling,"I-I could try, it's next to impossible though, even if we somehow remain sane, Bonnie might not, Freddy should be staying on stage though, he likes to wait to make an appearance at later times for some odd reason, he's explained to me but I've never paid attention. But you are right, it couldn't hurt to give a try."
"Don't worry, I have a plan, just meet me at the Cove as early as possible so we have a decent amount of control." I assured her, half mauling a slice of pizza with my teeth. Her beautiful violet irises locked on mine for a second before we broke out gaze and tension folded in and engulfed us.
There was a sliding sound, and a head suddenly popped through the silky curtains, Chica turned around, it was Bonnie. I gulped the remainder of the pizza down, and slid my tongue against my muzzle.
"Hey Chica!" Bonnie smiled casually as he strode in a big further.
"Oh! Hi Bonnie!" She smiled as jumped towards him, he wrapped his arms around her. Bonnie caught my eyes and smirked as she hugged him. I let my eyes burn into his core and didn't move them once, like a dog challenging another dog.
"Hi Fox." Bonnie addressed, he had closed his eyes completely, and when he opened them he was staring at Chica instead of me, again I thought of the dog challenging another dog thing, smart way to cover up submission. I smirked to myself.
"Hi." I managed to spit out, painfully, advancing on another slice of pizza.
Bonnie released Chica as they clasped hands..
After a moment Bonnie turned to the door, Chica trailed behind him, still holding his hand. "Well, we better get back onto the stage, bye!" He turned to leave, Chica grasped his hand and with her other waved at me, I grunted in response, the grunt was more of a growl but I hoped neither of them had noticed.
What was she doing with that scrawny bunny? She could do much better. I snarled silently at the way he wrapped his arms around her. That smirk that was on his face was unforgettable, it screamed 'Fight me.'. My eyes widened for a second...was that...jealously!?
It couldn't be... Was I in love? I let the thought slip from my mind, defying reality. I was bolts, and metal, nothing more. I grunted. Bonnie's face still burned in my mind, and Chica grasping his hand.
I perked my ears and listened as their footsteps faded, I nudged the curtains open with my nose and watched. Bonnie's happy face, I scowled. And drew the curtains back shut with an angry rip. I returned to the chair and closed my eyes.
'A bunny can run around for awhile, but eventually the fox will catch it.' I uttered deviously, as I drifted off to sleep.
