Throughout breakfast everything was fairly normal, he went over basic tasks I will be dealing with on the job. He even made small talk which was pleasant. I was excited, I've never been someone's secretary before, and I can't wait to tell my parents. Josh is going to be excited, which reminds me I have to call him to let him know as well.
We left the restaurant just to be met with a different vehicle and a gentleman by the backseat door. "Good afternoon Mr. Aquila, we arranged a driver to retrieve your vehicle back home." The chauffeur tipped his hat and opened the door.
"Thank you Ray, this is Olivia Evans she'll be taking over for Ms. Roberts indefinitely. Olivia this is Raymond Devon my family's chauffeur" Sylas introduced us with a smile.
"Pleasure to meet you Ms. Evans, please call me Ray"
"Likewise, and just Olivia, thank you" I beamed. He seems like a wonderful man.
Sylas pulled me into the car by my wrist. I find myself onto the seat in surprise from the loss of balance. "Hey! That was uncalled for!" Massaging my wrist I glare at him. "Watch it Ms. Evans, Lets not get in the habit of yelling at the boss" his voice stern and unmoving, yet a twinkle of amusement formed in his eyes. "You're right, I apologize Mr. Aquila, however that was uncalled for" I frowned. All I got was a sound of acknowledgment and a wonderful smile.
I couldn't get Sylas' smile out of my head. So genuine, kind, completely opposite of what I had witnessed moments before.
I wonder why he was like that, did I really upset him that bad?
I turned to look at him seeing the way his face stayed serious and eyebrows furrowed as he typed away on his phone. We were on our way back to his building, I thought to myself about his behavior, I couldn't pinpoint the Why of it all, but as I observed the male beside me, all I know is that i'll eventually get to know him a bit more. "You want a photograph Olivia?" He didn't look up, just flashed a smirk, "Trust me, you won't regret it" I felt my ears grow hot with embarrassment.
Turning my head to view the busy streets of Chicago, I entertain myself watching the buildings pass by. Hearing the dividing window from inside the car lower, I turn around to see the driver through the rear mirror "Raymond, tell Roman to meet at my office at 4 instead of 5" Sylas flashed a brief smile to his driver, "Right away sir" tipping his hat, Raymond glanced at me briefly, offering a small smile, which I kindly returned. My mind drifting to the chaotic breakfast we just had. Yet despite the bad, I'm thankful for Sylas' mindfulness.
When we left the restaurant, I was relieved to find a different vehicle than the Mercedes, I didn't want to go back in to the car we came in, which resulted in another interaction between Sylas and I. At the end Sylas huffed in annoyance his expression livid, he contacted someone to come pick us up in another vehicle. Hence why we are currently in the back of his Rolls-Royce. I asked Silas about Ray and he explained how Ray has driven Sylas around since he was a child. Which he still is. I giggled at the thought, filled with mirth I covered my mouth. "What so funny Liv?" Putting his phone away he turned to look at me with a whimsical glint in his eyes. I composed myself, suddenly finding nothing comical about it, "I.. just thought of something Josh said."
His expression soured completely "Must be quite a joke" he said in an almost monotone voice. I slowly nodded my head and felt the car come to a smooth stop "We are here boss" Raymond's voice was heard coming from the small speaker. Sylas pressed a button on the door opening the window between them, "Take her home Ray."
I look at him confused "Wait! What about work?"
He sighed "Just come back tomorrow, at 7:35". With that he left without looking back again, why do you care if he looks back Olivia? I sighed, my inner voice is right. I felt the car pull off the curb, "Mr.Raymond? I haven't given an address" I stated timidly "Mr. Aquila let me know beforehand" he curtly said as he closed the window. I sighed not knowing what happened just now.
I figured I'd call my parents first to tell them the news.

Sylas Aquila's P.O.V
Josh? Who is this guy? Her little boyfriend or what? My mind came up with a various questions and no answers. She's driving me crazy, sure I've been with women, meaningless flings and one night stands. Women dropped at my feet constantly, some pester me with their attempts to seduce me, yet failed to catch my attention. Oh but that brunette...the urge to see her wither beneath me, those doe eyes and those round lips had me possessed. I could sense her fear. I adored how she shivered, nervously looked around, and licked her lips while thinking of her next move. Only to come up empty handed, she was entirely at my mercy, normally I wouldn't have mercy, yet I do only for the fact that it's her.
The softness in her tone as she replied so respectfully and obediently. She had the traits of a true submissive and it stirred the beast within me.
I couldn't help but imagine how those curls would look gripped by my ha- "Sy! Buddy! What a pleasure to be in your presence" Trevor barged into my office as if he owned the place. I snapped my pen in pure irritation, "Oh bud, you need to take some anger management classes, you'll end up breakin' all your pens" he chuckled plopping himself down on my leather couch on the left side of my office. "What did I say about barging in here Trev? Get your boots off my couch." My teeth grinding against each other as my jaw clenched.
Trevor has been my best friend since diapers we are practically brothers. He was the first to know about my lifestyle, he supported me to the point he helped me build the very first exclusive bdsm club in Chicago. As much as I truly appreciate Trevor he's a pain in the ass, he's the pebble in my shoe. Our fathers met at a oversees meeting in Germany, they kept in touch and decided to get the families to meet. Trevor and I were the duo not to mess with, being just a year older than him made it easy to have things in common, whilst he had an older sister, I had a younger brother.
"I don't know what women see in you, you're too ...harsh man," Trevor huffed as he adjusted his feet on the table for better comfort. A scowl etched on my face, "but besides the harshness when are you heading down to VC?" I thought about it often, the urge to preform an act, to have a temporary submissive led me to agree to visit the Velvet Club. After all, as the man that runs the business it would be good to personally see how everything is running. I looked down at the plans before me and sighed, "Well, once I'm done with this blueprint we'll head down, you're not busy are you?" I looked up to see him smirking "Good, and Trev, for the love of god, leave that ratty Jeep behind. We'll take the Lamborghini." I can see his smirk falter down to a frown, "You always hated my poor little jeep" I looked back down at the blueprints on my table, oh to hell with it I'll finish it in the morning. I can't get her out of my mind.

"What is up with you and driving so fast, for the the love of God Sylas slow down!!" Trevor shouted. What is up with people and the fear of a little speed? At least Olivia wasn't this bad. "Trevor. Shut.Up. For the nth time don't have me repeat myself." He glared at me the rest of the way, clutching the door and center console tighter. The car rumbled as I stepped on the gas, I loved the rush it gave me as I drove through the streets. However, nothing compares to the thrill of what's to come when we arrive.
I turned left easing my way in front of the entrance of Velvet Club, the car purred under our feet as I came to a stop. We stepped out and walked towards the main entrance, handing the keys to the valet, I was greeted by my head of security "Welcome Mr.Aquila, we missed you around here boss" I looked at my watch briefly, then lifting my gaze "Morgan, how've you been? How's the family?"
Morgan has been a great asset to my business I treat him with outmost respect since he's given nothing but respect and hard work. I haven't told him but I have an account with his name on it with money for his boy, he's a bright kid has his heart set on Yale. I see myself in him, a helping hand is never bad right? I looked up and smiled, "They're great, Jeremiah is more than excited to finish high school" he smiles proudly. "Good, I bet he is. Morgan, don't stay here too long, go home to your wife" patting him on the shoulder I enter the club.
God I missed this place.
