Percy Jackson, 5:46 pm, East Central Wedding Venues, waiting for the ceremony to begin

Percy and Grover stood by a column inside of the chapel. There was some minor Greek influence architecture. "Annabeth will want to come back here and look after all of the craziness of the wedding was over." Percy thought to himself.

"So uh, this is it, huh." Grover said to Percy. "Big day. How are you feeling?"

Percy smiled. "Pretty fucking great."

They both just smiled to each other while the preacher quickly walked them through the ceremony before it started.

"First, the whole wedding party will come out through those big doors. If you get confused, it's the big door right in front of us. Your job is pretty simple. Just stand up here and watch it all. After they all make it here, I'll say some words about how wonderful love is. You guys will both give your vows, the I dos, yada yada yada, the kiss. That's pretty much it, son. Any questions?" The preacher looked at Percy and then at Grover before clapping his hands, "Great! I'll see everyone at showtime then."

"You have your vows and shit?" Grover started messing with his cuff links.

"Yes'ir. Have you talked to Annabeth today?"

It was weird not being able to see her today. They didn't even text. Annabeth said that she wanted it to be authentic. She said it would make it more exciting to finally be able to see each other. She was right about that. As if it wasn't already exciting being their wedding and all, on top of that he was excited just to be able to talk to his best friend again.

"You're sure you know what you're getting into, Perce?" Grover said cautiously.

He didn't just mean the wedding though. Demigods can do what is called "connecting" with each other when they get married. My best example is a little like imprinting, but without all of the dramatic wolves. Along with getting bonded in the legal sense, you're now bonded in a mental and emotional way too.

It gives you an almost second sense for the other person. Your emotions match with theirs, you can usually tell what the other is thinking; which is great for Demigods in fights. Nothing is better in a fight than to know exactly what your partner is feeling or their next move. It's also pretty nice romantically too. You have eyes for nothing but that person. The concept of another person just drives you away.

It does have some draw backs too. It heights up your sex drive through the roof. Being away from your partner even for just a few hours is very challenging and taxing mentally. Your hormones are out of control. Really, the list just goes on.

If you pick the right person, those downsides are easy to combat. You just have lots of sex until the urge draws back. Which it will after a few years. You spend nearly all of the time together. You're like a well oiled machine, just going through life together.

Percy nodded. "Never been so sure of anything."

The ushers started urging everyone to their seats as the organ started to play. Everyone stood as the large door swung open to reveal the wedding party.

Piper and Jason were the first to come through, then Hazel and Frank, Juniper and Nico, Sally and Paul, Annabeth's dad and her step mom, then, shockingly enough, a very angry Athena linking arms with a proud Poseidon. How they got her to do that was beyond Percy. Then came the little nymphs they'd convinced to be their flower girls and ring bearer. Percy took a deep breath. His fiancee was next.

This was it. The girl he'd fallen in love with, the woman she had grown into. The girl who kissed him in the Labyrinth when they were sure that they were about to die. The brave teenager who took a knife for him. The person he would do anything for. The reason he was put on this Earth. You could argue that his purpose was to fight off monsters and keep the world safe, but he would always fight you on it. There wouldn't be a world worth fighting for without her. She could bring him to his knees on anything.
