Broken In Many Ways

You've pushed away all fear.
You've hidden all emotion.
You've built a shell.
Only to have it broken.

Years of construction.
Torn away by one person.
He knew how you felt.
But didn't do a thing.

You've been thrown around like a rag doll.
Been kicked like a rock.
Bruises fade but memories stay.
You've suffered to survive.

He watched and watched you.
He beats himself up now.
He could've stopped it all.
Now that you're gone he regrets it all.

Silence now fills an empty gap.
Silence that feels deadly.
And death isn't what took you.
He just doesn't look clearly for you.

You've become what death fears.
You're worse than death itself.
All your pain and suffering turned to hate.
Because you are broken in many ways.
