Friday was finally here.
Yuki stared at the gates of Konoha, a small bag on her back and a cloak on her shoulders.Her stomach did twists and flips as she stared, gathering the will to leave. With a deep breath she left, walking through the gates and into the forest.
She walked for hours, exhaustion clinging to her painfully. A little after the sun had set she sat down, opening her bag to grab a blanket and some water.
Wrapping her cloak tighter around herself she shivered, using the blanket the cover the ground before wrapping herself up.
Leaning against a tree she stared at the sky, wondering what she would say when she got to her parents graves.
~~~
By the time the sun rose she was already up and moving. She was almost to her old home. She never realized just how many rocks there were here. She supposed in made sense, being part of the land of sand after all.
When the village came into sight she gulped, staring at the seemingly innocent welcoming sign. Streamers littered the walls, colors everywhere, laughter and music heard from inside.
She scrunched her nose, pulling up the hoodie to her cloak, making sure her hair is pulled back before entering through a crack in the wall.
Her skin was cold and clammy. She remembered the last time she was here, running for her life, trying to find her sister as she looked for safety.
Her poor sister...
She walked through town, gazing longingly at the familiar buildings and she passed. She adjusted her hood again, tense as she looked through an ally, staring at the crowd for a good chance to go.
She stared, out of sight hiding in the shadows. Crowds of people passed, holding candy apples while wearing yukatas. She narrowed her eyes.. she should go ri-
"Who are you?" A deep voice purred in her ear.
She gasped, losing her grip on the wall, falling forward and leaning on her face.
In. The. Middle. Of the path.
Could her life get any worse?
Laughter could be heard around her. She pried her eyes open, quickly activating a transformation jutstu.
"Hey you!"
The clounds aren't gone yet!
"No hoods allowed!"
The hood of her cloak was roughly pulled up, her hair being pulled up with it.
She closed her eyes in a wince, exaggerating her pain to match her new look.
She looked up with chocolate brown eyes, shoulder length trapped in her captors fingers but most framing her round face.
She opened her mouth, about to beg for him to let her go before her eyes widened.
He had messy black hair and a plain white shirt, jeans and Ninja sandals.
I know him
Her thought screamed at her the talk to him. Screaming that she can trust him and that they were friends. She quickly dismissed the thoughts. He was just as bad as everyone else.
Her eyes watered in remembrance, but she played it off as panic, staring pleadingly in her eyes, begging for him to remember the real her.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know!" She cried, and the boy seemed shocked.
"Woah wait! Don't cry it's okay! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to tell!" She pulled herself up and cried, knowing that if she hadn't made herself took like a child this would be so humiliating.
