I moaned awake as I opened my eyes, seeing a room that looked like a hospital. I was lying in a bed, with a little table as a headboard. A sheet was covering me like a blanket, with a pillow propped behind me. I sighed as I looked to the left, then the right. In the corner of the room was Siku, who was curled up in a ball, but still awake. She was staring at the door on the opposite side of the room. I studied her in confusion as I thought. "Si..ku?" I asked as she turned to look at me. "I made sure those strangers didn't hurt you. They moved you here, so I growled at them the whole time. But I settled down when I saw what they were doing," she explained as I looked at her. I patted the bed next to me, wanting her to scoot closer. She got up from her spot as she walked right up to the bed. She jumped up next to me as she lied down and placed her head on my stomach, letting me pet her for comfort. I lied my head back on the pillow as I sighed. "What's going to happen now?" I asked myself as I stroked Siku on the muzzle. I started to close my eyes as walking came through the walls, followed by muffled voices. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I didn't like the thoughts it made me have. I studied the door as the handle started to move and the door opened completely. "Siku, I'm scared," I thought as Siku jumped off the bed and growled at the door. The door opened more as a voice spoke. "Anna, may we come in?" a familiar voice spoke as the being walked in. The woman with the long dark hair walked through and a man with grey hair followed her. The man closed the door slightly behind him before he continued into the room.

"How are you feeling Anna?" the woman said, as she came closer. Siku rose on the bed as she lowered her head, growling as the beings approached. The two stopped in their tracks as they studied her. "Can I approach your master, Siku?" the woman asked as Siku stepped down from the bed, still continuing to growl. "Anna, I'm going to make sure their ok" Siku thought as she walked up and started to sniff the two beings. The two beings stayed still for her as I sighed. "Sorry about Siku. She's trained this way," I explained as the man looked at me. "It's ok. Rather be safe than sorry." The woman looked at me as she spoke. "Did you train Siku to be like this?" she asked as I shook my head. "No, my dad did when I was little. Siku's trained for hunting as well" I explained. The woman nodded as Siku finished and returned to my side. "They don't have any weapons and they smell ok. Just be careful" she said, as I turned to the two. "Alright. She said your safe" I explained as the woman started to come closer. "How are you feeling?" she asked as I looked at her. "Very confused. Other than that I feel ok" I explained. "It's going to be confusing at first, but everyone will help clear it up" she explained. The man nodded as he spoke. "We all been through it at one point. So we understand what you're going through" he said, as I looked down at Siku. "I wish I would've been able to leave Siku with my mom. Can we go check on her?" I asked as the woman sighed. "Not at the moment, sorry. But once it's safe to go back, we'll let you visit her" she explained. I sat back in disappointment. "Your right. It's safer for her this way" I said. I looked at Siku as she sunk her head on my lap again.

"It's going to be ok Anna. You still got me,"  Siku thought as she picked her head up and barked. "Were you talking to Siku?" the man asked as I looked at the two. I nodded as I sighed. "Yeah. I'm sorry, seeing it is probably weird," I said, as I slouched back in bed.  The man chuckled as he spoke. "Don't apologize for your ability. We all have something weird like that."  The woman nodded as she spoke. "And everyone will be able to help with anything.  We're all in this together," she said, as I looked back at Siku. Siku slouched her head back on me, as I rubbed her ear. I took a deep breath as I looked out the window, seeing a giant tree standing strong through the window. It was bright green and full of life. I sighed as I looked back at the two. "Thank you for helping me," I said, but stopped. I wanted to call them by their names, but we didn't make it that far at the meeting. The woman nodded as she spoke. "That's right, we forgot to introduce each other," she said, as she put her hand on her chest. "My name is Mikoto and this is Sakuya," she said, as the grey-haired man waved.  Sakuya chuckled as he spoke. "No wonder it feels weird. You still don't know anyone," he said, as I chuckled.  "Yeah. I ran a lot before I ended up here. Bet that's why I ended up passing out earlier," I said, as I sat up more.
