You always thought it was a weird concept. Soulmates... Why could you just contact your soulmate at any time just by writing onto your skin? It was just odd.

You've tried from time to time to write and see if you'd get a response from your so-called soulmate, but you never would. As a matter of fact, the ink would often just be washed off by the other in a matter of minutes. You never knew why and it always just irritated you when you noticed the ink coming off. All you wanted was to know something about this person you were meant to be with.

You were hanging out with your best friend, Annabelle, and listening to your guy's favorite group, BTS. Annie was ranting about 'how amazing Jungkook' was and about 'how much she wishes that she and him were soulmates.' She often had the same issues you did when it came to your soulmates, never getting a response or anything. That's only one of the many, many reasons you two connected how you did.

She was a truly beautiful girl, having long, wavy blonde hair, beautiful ocean blue eyes, and a face full of freckles. Her family wasn't from Korea, but they had come from america when she was little. But she was completely fluent in both English and Korean. You always loved having a friend like her, she was very sweet and was bullied a lot through her youth. You've always stuck up for her, no matter what. Because you knew that she would do the same for you, and has many times. Your families were both so close, and you were basically sisters. She was so helpful through everything.

While you two were hanging out, you noticed something start to appear on your arm. you looked confused a moment before realization hit you. it was simple, just small and in a nice black pen ink, and all it said was 'hi' but.. it was enough to get you excited.

Annie seemed to notice you get distracted from her jungkook rant, and got immediately confused and concerned, not knowing if it was a good or bad thing. She asked you what happened.

"They finally said something," is all you said to your friend before scrambling out of your bed to grab a pen from your desk. you grabbed your purple pen and quickly responded. Annie gave you a fond and encouraging smile, also excited to see what was going to happen.

You smiled at her and wrote a happy 'hello!' back as soon as you possibly could.

   No response.

Did you respond to fast? Did you let your curiosity and anxiousness get the best of you? Surely you were just over reacting... But in reality, you didn't even have to wait 10 minutes until you got another response...

A/N: ahhh! Okay so, I know this is on a cliffhanger and it's short and stuff, but I hope you enjoy it! Please feel free to comment or message me any feedback you may have! I'd love to take any suggestions you'd have too. Thank you so much! 💖
