Its been 2 years since the cabin trip, Maya is now turning 16 and Josh is 18. Maya's sweet 16 is nearing and she's making invitations for the party that she's having. She's already invited her friends and family and now Josh's name comes to mind.
Maya's pov:
Right now I'm sending out Birthday invitations via text I've already sent invites to Riley and her family, Lucas, Shawn and my mom, farkle, Smackle and some more people. Now Josh's name comes to mind. I know it isn't time for us to start dating yet, but that doesn't mean I don't miss him like crazy, should I invite him or is it too soon to see him? Oh who am I kidding of course I'm going to invite him. I make the invite and send it.
2 hours later I get a text from him. When I saw his name, my heart skiped a beat it's like the same feeling I've always gotten since I
met Josh, I don't think that's ever going to change. I open my phone up to check the text.
Boing😂❤️: "Hey Maya, Happy sweet 16! I miss you a lot it's been a while and I do really want to make it to your party I do have a test the next day though 🙄 I'm definitely going to do my best to try and make it!"
(I wait a while to respond because I don't want to look like I've just been sitting around waiting to get this text even though I have been)
2 hours later I respond
Maya: "Thank you. That sounds good Boing, and I miss you too. Hope you can make it!"
(I blush and think to myself) ugh I really hope he comes
