Josh and Maya Over time

Chapter 2: Maya's Sweet 16

      Today's is the party, and Maya can't get her mind off of Josh, hoping that he's coming.

                                Maya's pov:
       I'm so glad all my friends and family are coming today but I cant stop thinking about Josh I especially hope he comes home today  it would make my Sweet 16 10X better with him here.

         People start coming in to the party. As they walk through and the door I hope each of them are Josh. 10 people come in, then 20. 1/2 an hour goes by, there has to be 50 people here by now and still no Josh. Now I'm asking myself, did he forget about me? Did he not want to come? Was it stupid of me to invite him? Then I see him, Josh the boy I've been crushing on for what seems like forever holding a present in his hand smirking at me.

         God I missed him, he's even cuter than before if thats even possible. I give him the biggest hug. I can tell that he's blushing just as much as I am. I wore my prettiest dress and red lipstick because I wanted to look older to impress him.

      "Hey, it looks like Maya Hart can throw quite a party" He says

      "I guess it does I don't know how many of these people here where actually invited though" I say with a chuckle

       "Well that's the best kind of party, oh and also where do I put this?" He says gesturing to the gift in his hand I said

       "Right over there Boing, and you didn't have to, but I'm glad you made it."

       The night goes on like a usual birthday party me and Josh are flirting a little bit here and there like usual, Lucas and Riley can't get their eyes off eachother and this is the best birthday I could ask for. I see Josh get a call and go outside to answer it.

      When he comes back in he grabs my hand, then the his gift and says, "Here maya come with me really quick." We walk outside and he hands me the gift.

       I open it and look down then look at him. I can't stop smiling now. It's a gold bracket engraved saying "long game" with a heart next to it "Oh Josh you didn't have to, I love it"

      "Yes I did he said, and I'm so glad you like it" a couple seconds later his smile turns into a frown on his face.

      "Hey Josh, what's going on? What was that phone call about?" I say

        "Well, my roommate just called me and told me that our apartment complex had a fire and now I have no where to stay tonight because Eric is already sleeping in Cory's extra room"
