After softly speaking to the Unconscious girl for a while, the man sat back in his seat, watching her steady breathing. The man started to drift into sleep, when the girls breathing started to get uneven and quick. He shot up from his seat to get closer to the girl, watching as a light trail of blood trickled from her nose.
"Nurse?" He called out, eyes unmoving for the girl as her face twisted up in agony. "Nurse?!"
It wasn't until spots of blood started to grow through her light blue hospital gown that he looked away, rushing outside of the room.
"I NEED A NURSE!"
The man's world went in slow motion as nurses ran into the room, quickly getting to work.
He watched the girls body as it curled into itself, nurses struggling to push her shoulders onto the bed.

He told there, unmoving, until nurse came over to gently guide the man away from the commotion. He let her take his wrist to pull him into the waiting room, he let her push him into a plastic chair, and he let her hand him a styrofoam cup filled with water, but he wasn't really paying attention. He was still in shock.
The brown eyed man leaned back in the stiff piece of furniture and closed his eyes, letting out the breath he was holding.
Harley shot her eyes open only to immediately close them, a bright light shining into her eyes.
"Ughh." She groaned, laying her forearm ontop of her eyes.
"I see you've finally decided to join the land of the living." A voice laughed gingerly.
The girl slowly moved her arm from her eyes so she could squint at the owner of the voice.
"Who-" she croaked, "where am I."
"Oh, hun. Don't strain your throat. I'll get you some water." The voice, who Harley had decided was a nurse, spoke delicately before leaving the room.
Deciding it was best to get her eyes used to the light, she looked around the room, noting the heart monitor and IV she was hooked onto.
Careful of the wires, the girl tried to push herself up, only to be hit with a wave of pain.
She groaned again, moving the white hospital blanket to look down at herself. She was shocked at how many bandages covered her torso and her legs.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Harley jumped, eyes shooting up from her legs to see who was knocking.
It was the nurse from earlier.
"Sorry to startle you," the dark haired nurse smiled, walking up to the girl to hand her a cup full of liquid, "I got you some water."
Harley took the cup and nodded a thanks to the nurse, taking a sip before realizing how thirsty she actually was and chugged it.
"How are you feeling?" She asked the girl who had finished the entire cup with a sigh.
"Decent," the girl spoke airily, shrugging.
"Okay. Do you have any questions?"
"Uhm," she thought, "yeah, actually. Who are you? Where am I?"
"oh, I'm may. I'm a nurse in training." She smiled at the girl. "as for where you are, you're currently at Dallas county hospital in Perry, Iowa."
"M-may?" Harley stuttered out.
"Yeah, may." May gave the girl a confused look. "Is something wrong? You look a little shaken up, are you sure your okay?"
