I laced up my boots and grabbed my bag as I ran downstairs. "Toast please." I ran past Aunt Mia and shoved my textbooks in my bag. "Already late? Might wanna hurry before your dad leaves." I took my breakfast from her and ran outside.

"Dad! I need a ride." I sprinted to his car. "Late again, Niq? This is the third time this week." I smiled sheepishly and got in the passenger's seat. "It could be worst, I could miss gym entirely. At this rate, I'll only miss the first ten minutes and have to run laps." I groaned and banged my head on the dashboard. I hate running.

Dad chuckled softly and rubbed my back soothingly. "You'll be fine. But unless you wanna be even later, I'd start running." I looked up from the dashboard. "Thanks Dad. Love you." I kissed his cheek and leaped out of the car. "Love you too, D. Be good." I turned back to him. "When am I not?" I ran inside the school.

I ran into the gym. The entire class stared at me. "Late again Toretto." My gym teacher glared me down. "Better late than never." I shrugged. "Don't be cute. You can join Ms. Espinoza in running laps." I cursed under my breath and glared at Gabrielle Espinoza.

I did as I was told and started running laps. "What happened Toretto? Daddy forgot to wake you up this morning?" Gabby sneered. "No. I just wanted some extra beauty sleep. Something you could obviously benefit from with all those dark bags you're trying to cover up." I snapped in response.

As you can tell, we don't like each other. Never have, never will. Gabby thinks because her tits grew last summer she's all that. I personally think she's stuffing her bra, but that's none of my business. If she wants to pimp herself out on the streets of L.A. then let her.

Class ended and the rest of the day went on as boring as usual. Lunch came and went and I walked to my last class, art. Thirty minutes passed and the door slammed open. "SUP BITCHES I HAVE ARRIVED!" I covered my mouth to keep myself from laughing.

Laila Ariana Hale-Spilner sat down next to me with coffee and her phone. She transferred last week and we became best friends immediately.  "Where were you all day?" I asked as I acted like I was taking notes. "I had an appointment with my TV. Also I just didn't want to be here." I rolled my eyes and turned to her.

"It's a miracle you pass all your classes. You're barely here." I pulled out my phone and tapped on my Mom's contact.

Niq: You still coming to get me?

Mama: No can do gorgeous. Guys and I are busy.

Niq: Again???

Mama: D I have to. Just walk to your Dad's shop, I'll meet you there later.

Niq: Fine. Whatever

Mama: I'm sorry baby

I slammed my phone on the desk, causing others to turn and stare at me. "What?" I snapped and everyone faced the board. Laila rubbed my arm softly. "Busy again?" I nodded, clenching my fist repeatedly.

I waited outside for Laila to walk with me. I felt a presence behind me and turned around. "What Espinoza, the boys getting old of your fake tits and you need attention? Sorry but I don't entertain skanks."

She glared at me and sneered. "My tits are real Toretto. I get that you're jealous but no need to get all hostile. Then again you are your father's daughter." She smirked referring to the time Dad beat a guy half to death with a wrench.

Laila came outside and we walked away. Gabby kept yelling after us but we ignored her. We strutted into my dad's shop and sat at the counter across from Aunt Mia. "Hey girls. How was school?" Mia asked, looking up from her book.
