My Companion (Captain Jack x Tenth Doctor)

Chapter One

This can't be real. Jack thought. There they were, him and the Doctor, his ship probably falling apart.But to him it seemed like dream. It's been far too long. The Doctor looked different. He had a skinny, small frame along with ruffled hair and glasses.

"Uh, Jack can we continue this in the TARDIS? Where, ya know, its safe?" Doctor asked. Jack nodded. They run into the TARDIS and left the ship. When they were far away, The Doctor turned to Jack and hugged him.

"The new look suits you." Jack said. The Doctor smiled. He was nervous about what Jack was gonna say about the new look.

"Thanks." He said. Jack looked around the TARDIS.

"So, where's your companion?" Jack asked. The Doctor shook his head.

"No companion. I came alone." He said. Jack frowned some one as nice and heroic didn't deserve to be alone. Plus, saving the world is hard to do alone. Jack swallowed the lump in his throat.

"D-Doctor?" He said. The Doctor looked at him.

"Yes Jack?" Doctor said.

"May I, can be your companion?" Jack asked. The Doctor lost his grin. He turned pale.

"Jack, geez I don't know." He said, softly.

"But Doctor! We were apart for so long! Didn't you miss me?" Jack said. Doctor nodded quickly. He wanted to spend time with Jack since he would become the Face of Boe. It was very far away, but that day was gonna come someday.

"Jack, of course I missed you! You're just so important to me. I don't want to lose you. I wanted you to stay alive. I don't want you to be lost like.... Rose." The Doctor said. Rose was such a sensitive topic. She was in Bad Wolf Bay along with Mickey, Mom, Dad and Little Tyler.

"Doctor. I'm a time traveler too. I can handle it. Trust me. You won't lose me. Please?" He said. Doctor sighed.

"Alright." He said. Jack smiled wildly. He ran up and hugged Doctor, lifting him up.

"Thank you so much!" He exclaimed. The Doctor laughed.

"Alright, alright. Your crushing me." Doctor giggle.

"Alright we got some catching up to do." Jack said. Doctor smiled.

"Ok." Doctor said.

"I don't know about you, but I could use a beer."
