"[Name], you're absolutely sure you want to go on this quest by yourself?" Your older brother, Izuku, asked as he looked up at your form that clutched the reins of your loyal black and white horse, Thunder, who pawed at the ground, obviously ready to go. You rolled your eyes, but smiled slightly.
"Yes Izuku, I'm sure. Mother needs the extra gold pieces anyway." You said as you ruffled Izuku's fluffy hair gently. "I'll be fine. I'm an experienced huntress and it's just two wolves that have been stealing and eating livestock, along with an occasional attack on someone on the foot path. It should be simple enough to take care of." You assured your brother, giving him a gentle smile. "Now, I need to get going if I'm gonna finish this quest before sundown. HYAH!" You kicked Thunder in the side and cracked the reins, making the black and white horse rear up before taking off at a canter, disappearing into the forest near your home town.

You slowed Thunder down by carefully pulling back on his reins. You were nearing the den of the two wolves that you were hired to kill. You slowed Thunder to a complete stop before hopping off him and grabbing your bow, pulling one of your arrows from the quiver on your back. You knocked the steel tipped arrow, slowly stalking into the dense trees, straying from the path. From what you had heard, these two wolves have attacked multiple people on this path.
You looked around, stepping quietly and carefully, cautiously avoiding the twigs, sticks, and leaves that littered the forest ground. The sun was high in the sky at this point, and the summer heat was beating down on your skin, even through the tree tops.
Your head snapped up in surprise when you heard Thunder let out a startled whiney, followed by the sound of hooves galloping away down the dirt path. You sprinted through the woods back to the path, not caring about how much noise you made at this point, only to watch your Gypsy Vanner go disappearing around the bend of the path.
"Wait, Thunder! Come back!" You yelled after your horse, waving your arms in the air and accidentally dropping your bow on the ground. "Great... Now I'm gonna have to walk home..." You grumbled, not noticing the pair of piercing red eyes that watched you silently from the bushes.
You ran a hand through your hair and sighed, before being fucking tackled to the ground. "gAH-" You gasped out in surprise, feeling heavy breathing on your neck as drool dripped onto the ground beside your face. Your eyes widened in fear as you slowly moved your gaze upwards, seeing a large, red furred wolf standing over you, his tail curled and his teeth bared menacingly.
This was one of your targets.
You held in your gasp as the other wolf, a larger and more muscular ash blonde male, appeared from the underbrush, his ears twitching. He and the red wolf growled and whined and semi barked at eachother, obviously communicating in their own language, before the ash blonde one growled and snorted, grabbing you by the hood of your outfit, the red one now stepping off of you and grabbing your right wrist in his mouth, his teeth digging into your skin slightly. You closed your eyes and flinched as pain shot through your body before the two large wolves began dragging you back through the bushes the larger one appeared from, the ash blonde one growling under his breath the entire way.
Eventually, you reached a pile of tumbled rocks, where there was small tunnel that led underground. The red wolf let go of your wrist and let the larger wolf drag you down the tunnel, the red one trailing along behind to make sure you didn't escape. You glared up at him.
Did that wolf just fucking wink at you?
The ash blonde wolf let you go as the tunnel opened up into a dirt cave, lined with torches to light up the otherwise dim space. In one corner, there was a pile of bones, and in another there were two nests woven out of grass and feathers. You raised an eyebrow as you sat up, staring at the two large wolves.
